Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.08.13)
Well, that certainly explains a great deal. They aren't Jews; no wonder they barbecue on such a solemn day. Let them go live among their good friends in Iran. They are parasites and leeches.
62. don't over-generalize
Dan ,   USA   (04.08.13)
I agree with you Michael but lets make sure we don't overgeneralize this to all haradim, it's a specific group that have no respect for Israel and I don't even consider them to be Jewish.
63. Hold BBQ - What exactly is wrong?
Jason ,   USA   (04.08.13)
Why are we concerned at how some Haredim youth spent their Sunday afternoon on this day of observance. Why is having a BBQ even an issue? Can someone explain what is so wrong with what they have done? I am a secular Jew living in NYC. Tonight I am going to listen to a lecture at a synagogue by a few survivors. (I hate to think what many of you readers may say.)
64. And why not ,...
split ,   US   (04.08.13)
Acknowledging that US Jewry did nothing to prevent it, that the zionists in Palestine collaborated with Nazis proven by Kastner's (zionist envoy) deal with Eichmann to save 1600 connected Jews and let 600.000 Hungarian Jews to be shipped to Auschwitz knowing that they going to resettle in Poland ,... It's a statement, nothing to celebrate for them ,...

Gordon Fink ,   Philadelphia, PA   (04.08.13)
It's time for the self rightous Heredi to realize that the rest of juudiasm sholud not support them for their study of a group of folk tales.
66. Isn't every day a day off for the Haredi?

67. these people do not represent anyone but themselves
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (04.08.13)
their rabbis are unable to explain why one and a half million jewish children were slaughtered in the shoa. they their rabbis cannot explain why children without sin were murdered. their rabbis cannot explain why those they considered great torah scholars were sent to the crematoria. their rabbis want to make us forget the lack of leadership of jewish leaders, including rabbis and torah scholars, who continued to live among fascist murderers while they could have advocated for immigration and aliyah. these are the people who want to create a totalitarian state in israel, forcing their narrow ideology on the people, while denying the very existence of medinat israel. they mock the shoa and the survivors of the shoa in their infinite arrogance. they have neither respect nor love for Israel, His namesake.

victims is more meaningful . But most orthodox Jews during the sirene are respectful and observe silence . The same can be said of decent secular Jews respecting Yom Kippur , if not by observing the fast,at least by refraining from eating pork or whatever, in presence of fasters. It are the disrespectful extremists who divide and weaken our people.
69. 49 Charles,eating Yom kippur..

in front of a Synagogue? Why was i worried not seeing you? Stupidity !

what does the kibbutznikkim have to do with any of this article..your diminished thinking has you attacking a population which works hard and is the backbone of the society ..unlike your lazy haredi friends. your incessant ramberling leads me to believe that your medication is long overdue. and hat exactly are you trying to say by using the word ..kofrim... lets all hope we dont have to hear from you in the near future
71. #9, we did read, and that's why we can judge
David   (04.08.13)
As for this, ""We will read Psalms for them tomorrow morning and study torah in their memory. " The seculars should show up and barbecue while they are having their commemoration. And wear tiny, tight speedos, too.

dave ,   safet israel   (04.08.13)
500,000 Israelis travel to national parks. More leftist trash from Ynet. Last night was next to last day of yeshivah spring break. Boys on holiday.

Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.08.13)
In El male rachamim : al kedushat hashem . Yes hashem who didn't not show up when 1.5 million innocencent children , millions of TRUE religious Jews were murdered . And you still believe in a god ? you dare to reproach us not to attend Synagogue ? Those , most of , who created the reborn State of Israel didn't observe Tisha Be'av either , Most of those who died in the war in 1948/49 didn't even believe in a god , many of them even opposed this
74. Prejudice works both ways!!!!!
Froike ,   NY NY   (04.08.13)
First, please don't generalize about Haredim....Some are menuvalim some are tzadikkim...just like secular Israelis. Regarding the Holocaust Rememberence, those who understand the Three Weeks and Tisha B'av and Yizkor, properly memorialize and pay respects to Jewish victims of all Holocausts (since the destruction of the first Bet Hamikdash to the present day). In fact, Holocaust rememberence day or not, we are in the midst of mourning for the students of Rabbi Akivah....During the counting of the Omer, most observant Jews do not listen to music, shave, or hold Simcha's. So, let's please not spread hatred among each other!
75. Haredim Rabbis say Shoa victims got punished by g-d...
Ze'ev   (04.08.13)
..because they were sinners in former lifes. That says all about the haredim and the shoa! Its a big shanda!
76. Haredim hold barbecue....
Toledano Jean-Pierre ,   Israel   (04.08.13)
I understand their argumentation - I didn't agree with it, but I can place myself a bit in their brain, following their way of thinking - but after the last paragraph… I understood! I understood that they (the haredim) give absolutely nothing about what's happening to their fellow believers in Germany, Poland, etc… even most of whom were very religious and pious like they (our haredim) are nowadays. I have very near family into Satmar. There, you hear almost the same argumentation like the one given by the haredim in the article above. Where are you G'd?
77. charedim
ruth joseph-pike   (04.08.13)
with all due respect there's a time laps between rabi akkivah and the shoa victims. those are still living among us and need our respect. one day is a small price to pay rather than being crude and showing lack of empathy. the fact that you do not shave is your prorogative but no one is asking so much of charedim when it comes to one day in the year.
78. AND WHAT ABOUT THE CHILONIM DRINKING IN CLUBS LAST NIGHT?!!!
shadoil ,   Jerusalem   (04.08.13)
79. April Fools
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.08.13)
In response to this story we have people who attack and condemn the Haredi in the most offensive and racist way. It turns out this was a late April fool's joke. There were no Haredim. There were about 30 people, some playing football, and a small group making a barbecue, all of them non-haredi. The lie that they were Haredi was invented by a well known Leftist activist working for a foreign-funded NGO. Oops
80. I hope
(04.09.13)
that the smoke and fire reminds them of what their parents got from the Nazis just for being Jews! Stupid and uneducated pigs!
81. #79. "April Fools"
Charles M. ,   California, USA   (04.09.13)
Yes, continue digging yourself into the ground, I don't think you got enough attention with the BBQ as it is.

Jo Jo   (04.09.13)
God will not accept your continued use of the Holocaust to justify your sinful lifestyle. I know an elderly man who was in Auschwitz aged 8. All his family were killed and he somehow survived. His faith in the God of Israel nevertheless remained intact. How can you dismiss the existence of God when there are survivors who believe in Him? You are loosing your portion in the eternal afterlife by your antagonism towards believing Jews.
83. Jo Jo 82 .
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.09.13)
There is no "afterlife" .Have you seen someone who came back from there ? There is NO god , so i'm not perturbed by his "non acceptance" Yes , there are Jews who didn't loose , or became religious , religion after the Shoa . I can't believe in a god without power , or who didn't want to use his "power" , or worse , who wanted it to happen . It's not only because of the Shoa [ Jews don't call it Holocaust ] that i reject your superstition . I can't believe in something invisible .
84. Ora , there are more than one synagogue
(04.09.13)
in Israel . You were looking for me ? Why weren't you inside , praying ? [ LOL ] When i'm upset by someone , i answer in a way to hurt this person , not you of course . Don't be worried , you know me ...
85. I was raised in a Haredi school..today I simply despise them
Al   (04.09.13)
Todays Haredi are despicable. Schnorrers moochers and imzizteka fressers is best to describe them. Were the Philipinos not to wash their toilets here in Montreal, they would swim in their own sheet. Call me a hater. Till such time that this tinif learn to be true Jews and menchin, I have nothing but disgust towards them.

Joan ,   Haifa   (04.09.13)
So, let me get this straight, you're *condoning* this vile behavior?
88. To Natan (poster #5),
Jasmin ,   Haifa   (04.09.13)
Even if you find their point acceptable, their behavior, and I'm referring to these specific people, not all haredim, is vile. In any case, compare *this* to what Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Metzger had to say on the subject!
89. Ora , 86 . More than despicable
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (04.09.13)
It can only come from "uitschot" [ =rejection? ]
90. 89 Charles, Al is a poor guy...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.09.13)
he is deprived from the most valuable asset in life: LOVE. Which i know is not your case, having seen you with your many loving grand-children. Have lots of nachat from your darlings,Charles.
