The big boys from America would always be the ones calling the shots and stirring in this crazy boiling cauldron called Middle East, as they see fit. We can take the yanks' friendship or leave it - yet we must remember, they are still the best friends we'll ever have, and it would be very cold out there for us, outside Uncle Sam's apron. Yes, Nixon and his self-hating Jewish lackey were antisemitic pricks, yet when the sh*t was starting to hit the fan, the weapon supplies were there in Ben Gurion to save our skin. And while I'm hardly an Obama supporter, I think it wise for us to bite the bullet and get on his better side for the 3 years to come. (Really now - there's a limit as to how incompetent the Reps could be. It's high time they'd put up a serious contender.)

I believe that 1973 was a bigger victory than 1967: 1) Egypt was broke after the war 2) Israel had its tanks a couple of hours drive from Cairo and Damascus. 3) Egypt was forced to accept Israel and thus pursue peace in 1978. 4) Israel until end of Mubarak got peace on its southern border and removed Egypt as a threat.

Israel must have not depend on anyone otherwise the next round is going to be uphill only!!! Israel must develop weapon factory outside Israel and simultaneously depend on USA. Who knows who is the next "carterian" God bless Israel
