He was deemed "sane" by the selfsame court system that sentenced an Arab traitor to seven years in prison. Treason carries the death penalty in Israel. Did you know that? Well, now you do. But a traitor gets seven years in prison while a clearly mentally unstable individual is sentenced to two life terms. How do you propose to justify that?

If the testimony about Teitel's mental state were not biased by the politics of the prosecutor's office he would still be destined to life in custody. The public is not better protected for withholding mental care while he is imprisoned.
