The SLA was a group of Lebanese patriots of all factions united by their love of Lebanon to struggle against the Syrian occupation. Israel was the only country to support them, until Ehud Barak betrayed them. Now everyone realizes that if the SLA had survived, Hezbollah and Assad would have been weaker, and the Syrian civil war would have ended differently. Think about, the hatred of the SLA for the "sin" of asking for Israeli help has led to the deaths of close to 100,000 Arabs and climbing, and instead of a secular Lebanon/Syria, you will have a Islamist rule.

The SLA imploded the second Israel pulled out of S. Lebanon turning the entire area to the fascist animals from Hezbollah. I would love to see Lebanon with no proxies and no militias but I don't see that happening any time soon.
