Will the US force Israel to use Nuces then ? Arn.Sweden.
2. B-2 & F-22
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (04.23.13)
B-22 & F-22 are planes that are decades ahead of anything known in the world today. A single B-2 bomber can strike up to 80 targets anywhere in the world undetected from it's base in the US. This article misses the point that this is a unique aircraft that cost 2 billion dollars a plane and has unrivaled capabilities. Israel has a great tactical air force, however you are talking about a strategic aircraft that can do the job of 30-40 F-16's or F-15's undetected.
3. Who needs bunker busters ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.23.13)
... when you have nuclear weapons that will get the job done just as easily? And make no mistake -- the job needs to get done. The ayatollahs and the mullahs are growing crazier with each passing day. Plotting terrorist threats on Canadian soil? Possibly doing the same on American soil? (Please do not forget that Iran is the biggest supplier of weapons to the Chechen rebels.) Terrorist attempts in Kenya. India. Nepal. France. Where will it end? Iran's taking a beating in Syria .... perhaps they're experiencing embarrassment issues. But it does need to end.
4. why do we want bombs only the B2 can carry?
zionist forever   (04.23.13)
Why on earth would we want to buy bombs that can only be carried by the B2 when we do not possess the B2? Whilst not as powerful as the American ones the Israeli company IMI already makes bunker busters of its own which can be carried on F15 & F16. Israel also already has some American bunker busters in its inventory. This story is a non starter because if you don't have a delivery method the bomb is little more than a display piece.

EMP pulse detonated by tactical weapons can do the job.The EMP effect will grill the whole electric web , a cascade effect will follow.

it's odd that the white house should announce an arms sale "to israel" even though more than half is going to the emiratis and the saudis. we're not sure of the breakdown, but if the bigger half is going to the uae, then that doesn't leave much to split between israel and saudi arabia, does it? and now there's this question of tankers and bunker busters. israel has already demonstrated that it can reach iran. the raid on tunis was 1,500 miles, whereas fordo is only about 1,000 miles. the iaf already has the capability. which is probably why the iaf passed on the kc-135 when it was offered to them TWO YEARS AGO. (so why is the white house flogging this NOW?) and the bunker busters are a complete red herring, unless the pentagon is willing to reopen the question of f-22s for israel, instead of the somewhat lame f-35. but even then, there's no chance of delivery in time to prevent an iranian nuclear bomb. which makes the whole bundled arms deal just a smokescreen for new sales of advanced weapons to countries that are (still) at war with israel.

Obama is selling goodies to the Sunni supporters of the Brotherhood, and covering it up by giving Israel some obsolete c*** she doesn't need

Will bitch that they will have to pay (even though it is US aid money)
12. This does include Bunker Busters Israel Can Use
George Murphy ,   USA   (04.23.13)
The "advanced focused munitions bombs" Israel will get are the USA's latest design small diameter bomb whose performance matches that of the US 2000 lb bunker buster used previously. It weighs only 250 lbs, so allows fighters to carry 8 times the number of 2000 lb bombs it could carry on the same mission. Here is a report - http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/sdb.htm Just what Israel needs.

Totally agree Sarah. Well said! The refueling tankers and the Ospray are helpful though. Am Israel Chai!
