1. Lapid's economic plans
Esther Lapian ,   Jerusalem   (04.24.13)
It's about time. We have been waiting a long time for this kind of "telling it like it is." To quote a great American president:"You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cant fool all of the people all the time. " From those of us who voted for you- thank you and more power to you. Blessings, Esther Lapian

The article has no connection to the Israeli/Palestinian issue, but you managed to put in a classically and purely anti-semitic comment. At least you do not disguise your antisemitism behind the guise of the currently PC anti-Israelism.
4. WORK
sam ,   Israel   (04.24.13)
CUTS CUTS CUTS what's he doing to create jobs. Especially for the 50 years old and above. What about the 50 year old that worked for 25 years and was let go because younger people work for less. Lets see some plans for creating jobs. In order to have a working class he must create jobs.
5. Finally!
david ,   london   (04.24.13)
this class of the population has been ignored, taxed, suppressed, unappreciated, and humiliated for too long in favour of strong lobby groups. the best way to strengthen Israel is by supporting its backbone, which is not the haredim, the unemployed, or the Arabs but hard working Israeli families who pay taxes, serve in military, purchase goods, and represent Israeli values.
6. Ignore children they are not working -class
Martin ,   SA   (04.24.13)
Ignore children they are not working -class Lapid with all your carry-on have you sized up the significant and growing contribution of econically active and credible observant and knowledgeable haredim and their children whom will soon follow them and whom you now as a father wish to abandon. Will you turn your back on your grandchildren one day? Your political demeanour (middoos Toivos: absent) and our over-bearing posture could be something you may live to regret. Maximum impact policy is good for scoring political point now. Be an unapologetic basher and live to see and regret the scorn you invite on yourself and that you are not at the top forever .
7. I am so glad that I voted for this man!

Go ahead and do not pay attention to dog barking! We as a community has been looted in every possible way that exists in their book! Housing facilities (from issuing empty plots only to hareidi community to availability categary), kindergarden fees, free kindergarden facilities (opened only in Bnei-brak, Yerushalim & Beit Shemesh areas) , most of amidar housing provided only to their community in past 4 years, child-support money, money to learn in yashiva for whole life, if they serve in army then they get to learn free of cost, their monthly area money is less etc. There must be many more ways that I am not aware about. Please stop this looting and drinking blood of this country and bring equality back.

9. Working class
Anonymous ,   Jerusalem   (04.24.13)
Working class: The socioeconomic class consisting of people who work for wages, especially low wages, including unskilled and semiskilled laborers and their families. (American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language.) Lapid doesn't get it. If he raises VAT by 1% and slaps VAT on fruits and vegetables (raising their price by nearly 20%), he is hurting exactly the class he says he wants to protect. These are the people for whom every shekel makes a difference as to whether they eat lunch today. What Lapid is really doing is trying to protect the upper middle class, who will complain about higher prices but who will only cut their spending back slightly but not start skipping meals or important medicines.

12. And I heard that he wants to tax apt rentals
Debbie ,   Israel   (04.24.13)
Last week there was an article that landlords will be charged 25% tax on the rental income they earn. What will this do to the working class. They can't afford to buy an apt. I'm pretty sure I'll land in one of the new tent cities that will have to pop up once this is done. - I just hope I will have some room to grow my vegetables. This is what I'll get to look forward to in my old age. After paying taxes, 3 children in the army in combat units. My government will tax me into becoming a homeless person.

!!! כל הכבוד לך יאיר Every word in your Knesset speech was a gem! Carry on the good work - we love you!
14. 25% tax on rent? A joke....
DR ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.24.13)
With the lack of apts. to rent as is, no problem for the landlords to roll the tax to the tenants, making an exhausted, impoverished class now also homeless. Lapid's great ideas...please spare them from us!!!!!
