1. wake me up when Abbas starts playing a new record
zionist forever   (04.28.13)
Since gaining his new power at the UN Abbas has been threatening to go to the ICC for one thing after another this latest threat is hardly anything new. Come on Abbas change your tune stop making demands and threats to go to the ICC and instead negotiate unconditionally and it might actually bring rewards.
2. You mean "re-acquired".
David Hirschfield ,   Rishon Lezion   (04.28.13)
"...sensitive piece of land Israel acquired in 1967..." Israel actually re-acquired the land after the Six Day War in 1967. The land was illegally taken from Israel in 1948 by Jordan in a belligerent act or War. Jordan then illegally annexed the "West Bank" in 1950. The annexation was never recognized under international law with even the Arab League refusing to recognize it. Israel therefore never relinquished legal ownership.
3. Where is acceptance of Jewish majority Israel in all this?
Sam ,   Canada   (04.28.13)
Israel gives this and Israel gives that. Nowhere is there mention of Palestinians accepting a Jewish majority Israel. What is wrong with Kerry and Western diplomats? Has it ever occurred to them that if they want a 2 state solution there has to be a public Palestinian acceptance of a Jewish majority Israel just as Israel made a public acceptance of a Palestinian majority state. Western diplomats like Kerry are fearful of doing this so they just talk about "security" and they hope that no one especially the Jews will notice.
4. Israel must present proof Judea & Samaria are ours.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.28.13)
For decades, foolish Israeli governments have hidden from the world incontrovertible legal proof that Judea and Samaria belong to Israel. If Abbas goes to the ICC, this would finally force Israel to present the proof to the world. It comes from countless international law experts, including even Eugene Rostow, author of U.N. Resolution 242. "Palestinian" poseurs have already been allowed to steal almost 80% of our Homeland and call it Jordan. The time is long overdue for Israel to put an end to this evil charade.
5. There will never be two states
Yossef   (04.28.13)
there will be one state and a few arab cities.
6. #3, 6M Jews, 9M Palestinians, not a Jewish majority

7. a man of good will
tiki ,   belgium   (04.28.13)
According to Kerry, the miscast US foreign minister. Maybe someone someone should point out to the man of good will from Ramallah that there is a connection to the Hague from Jerusalem as well.
8. Where are Abbas' confedence building gestures
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NYC   (04.28.13)
seems Israel only gets one gesture from Abbas involving thumb on nose ang wiggling fingers (or worse)
9. AS LONG AS 2+2 REMAINS.....
FO ,   Belgium   (04.28.13)
As long as 2+2 are still 4 then: 1) There are no 1967 borders, but cease-fire lines. 2) Even the November 1947 UN Partition Plan was a proposal and not a binding resolution. 3) That the only by International Law recognized borders are those voted by the League of Nations in 1922 for the Jewish National Home, the coming Jewish State, the area between the Sea and the Jordan River. 4) That the "Oslo Peace Process and the recognition of "Palestine" as a non-member observer state by the United Nations is a violation of Article 80 of the UN own Charter. 4) Appealing Israel to ICC is a parody, a mockery of a trial... I urge all the readers, and why not also Lapid and Bennett, to read, or to read again carefully, closely the official text accusing Israel of violating Article 49. To make it easy I quote the main part of it: "the present Convention shall apply to all cases of declared war or of any other conflict which may arise between two or more of the High Contracting Parties, even if the state of war is not recognized by one of them. The conditions of armed conflict between two ore more of the High Contracting Parties, as set forth in the article, are fulfilled in that there was a war between two signatories, Israel and Jordan". Unquote. Really? I didn't know that Israel occupied Jordan and transferred its population into it! A JOKE! Jordan has not and never had anything to do with the so called "West Bank". The "West Bank" remains a residual part of the Mandate for Palestine, part of the Jewish National Home, intended to become the Jewish State. If "judges" of international institutions come and pretend the contrary by telling us that 2+2 is from now on 3 or 5, then it is our sacred duty to fight this heresy, because those same "judges" may pretend tomorrow that the earth is flat again!
10. Let's see...hot news items of the week...
A ,   Belgium   (04.28.13)
Abbas MAY THREATEN to take Israel to the Incredibly Corrupt Cretins...fatah MAY TRY to form a *giggle* unity government with hamas, little Jimmy still hates his math teacher and grandma still has that nagging pain in her left foot,...or is it the right foot? Stay tuned for even more excitement!
11. #6 Israel has not annexed West Bank.Pals there not citizens.
Sam ,   Canada   (04.28.13)
It's the Palestinians looking for a state not the Jews. So, don't play cute with the Jews. Israel is 75% Jewish and it's not allowing any Palestinian return. If Palestinians want a Palestinian majority country on the West Bank they will have to accept a Jewish majority Israel. It's Israel not the UN or Arab League that controls the territory. If Palestinians want to continue trying to fool everyone they will continue to have nothing. If Palestinians prefer waiting for Israel to disappear then let them go ahead and wait.
12. ICC, ICC, ICC, ICC..no more BS..jail Abbas and
Edithann ,   USA   (04.28.13)

some guy ,   papua and new guiney   (04.29.13)
Since PLO broke Oslo agreement Israel is in no position to keep its part of the agreement that is broken and can send PLO back to their former Tunis former address.
16. #6 what are you talking about?
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (04.29.13)
there are over 6 million Jews in Israel, about 1 million Arabs( none of them palestinians!) There are no palestinians living in Israel, some working, but none living! Unless you consider ALL of ISRAEL, occupied Palestine?? in that case, enjoy your fantasy, and don't bother with atlases or online maps! they're probably Jewish propaganda or something. BTW, how's your apartheid wall at the Mexican border working out for you?double standard...???.

18. Bring Abbas to court for Munich massacre
Steve Rosen   (04.29.13)
Bring Abbas to court for financing Munich massacre
19. Israel has not joined nor
Jared ,   USA   (04.29.13)
granted any jurisdiction to ICC. ICC has no authority over Israel. Same for USA. The UN Resolution in 1948 voted for a recommended non contiguous Jewish State. The Arabs did not complain about a non contiguous Jewish State; they objected to a Jewish State. Build in E-1. It's part of Israel by San Remo Treaty of 1921 ratifying the Balfour Declaration. The Anglo-American Treaty of 1924 and is also international law and the law of USA granting that land to the Jews for a national homeland. Abbas can moan and grit his teeth.
20. #12 ICC not going to hand over Israel to the Palestinians
Sam ,   Canada   (04.29.13)
Palestinians are just looking for any excuse not to make peace with Israel. They are looking for someone (Arab armies,UN, the West, ICC or whomever who will hand them the West Bank and Israel on a silver platter. Anything except making peace with a Jewish majority Israel. That is why there is no solution to the conflict.
