2. Erdogan, a real Fool
LHX   (05.02.13)
Erdogan thought by arming rebels froms his soil he can remove Assad, cut Turkey some real power in the ME and weaken Iran. As it has become clear Assad is not going anywhere. Not only Russia and Iran support him but Chinese have made it clear at UNSC that Assad is here to stay. And now "rebels" (aka Jihadi Salafists) are in retreat. Erdogan made himself a real fool. Now he has all his neighbors (Iran, Iraq, Syria) united against him. With Armenia and Greece others neighbors of Turkey, it can be said this guy has successfully isolated Turkey.

the only reason i answer to this nonsense is cause its posted twice :) appearantly you dont follow turkish media and officials statements regarding neo nazi cases, you are tryin to connect two diffrent situation with no common ground see germans are not israelis, in one case german public and goverment are trying to solve those murders of 8 turks on the other hand israeli goverment pinnes medal on killers of 9 turks erdoğan knows germany is civilized country big jew :) that why he doesnt need to say anything as for the syrian cliam or bankrupcy i think its time you start reading more international press to see how turkey is doing iam warning you if i see another post like these nonsense iam gonna start calling you sarah b :D
7. anton Question Do You Think erDOGan is in a corner?
(05.02.13)
Do you feel Israel and turkey could mend fences and join forces Against the Fomenters in tehran and syria could choose their next government? And will they choose a Islamist government as eygpt did? Please sir your thoughts. Good day
8. # 6 Ah anton you Turkish turd!
Big bad Jew ,   United States   (05.02.13)
Please do call me Sarah B, that would be a compliment. I hope you and your fellow Turks will be good hosts to your gazillions of Syrians escaping another Muslim religious 'holiday.' Turkey WILL be bankrupted they can't pay for the burials of the 9 dead dummies Erdogen hired and got murdered. Nothing's better than to watch your idiot savant 'leader' make an ass of himself, et tu ?
9. Obama arm Israel & turkey not al quaida rebels
zionist forever   (05.02.13)
Obama knows full well chemical weapons have been used but there is no will in America to cross his threatened redline game changer so his solution is to play dumb about chemical weapon use and arm the rebels. Problem with this is we have no idea who will replace Assad or what their intentions will be when dealing with the WMDS. Will they invite the UN to destroy them, keep them, give some to terrorists, as long as the things exist it doesn't matter who is running Syria because the threat to the US & its allies still exists and may even end up in AL Quaida hands. The smart thing for Obama to do is try broker a coalition between Turkey and Israel who are the two major powers on the Syrian border and both feel threatened by these weapons. Give them both guarantees America will make sure they have international political protection and no criticism from himself if anything goes wrong and there are Syrian casualties. Give them anything the might need like intelligence or special bombs etc and promise not to arm the rebels because of the risk of them falling into terrorist hands. Also the green light to destroy any other extra military targets Israel or Turkey might like to see taken out, no US dictation because its not an American operation. In exchange Obama can have no OFFICIAL prior knowledge of this operation so doesn't look like America gets others to fight its battles.
10. So what now
John ,   Austin, TX USA   (05.02.13)
Send your fellow muslims to save muslims. I think USA should completely stay out of this one not out fight. Muslims killing Muslims. I don't want to put my life on the line for any one of them. Let them fight their own battles.
11. Anton and #7
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (05.02.13)
Anton please do not mix apples and oranges. In Germany i was a case of criminal act that killed 8 innocent Turks. In Mavi Marmara the ship was sailing into breaking a recognized military blockade. The criminal act was actually the act of IHH trying to break this blockade. No other ship had any causalities since they were not carrying IHH extremists who attacked the Israeli soldiers. If the IHH extremist had not acted the way they did and followed the path that all other ships did there would be no one dead. Those Israeli soldiers did their jobs with the paint guns that they were given at the beginning despite all the danger that was waiting for them and they do deserve the medals. As for the question from #7: I an tell you from what I have read many times in the past from Anton that he prefers Turkey and Israel do not reconcile. Not a peaceful preference. Ion the other hand prefer that Israel and Turkey reconcile and be friends, furthermore I also hope that one day Israel can find peace with her neighbors. It is simply the Jewish way.
12. Erdogan: Assad using chemical weapons against rebels
George Weiss ,   Teaneck   (05.02.13)
No one should believe anything Erdogan says. His entire government can not be trusted, especially since it has sided with the rebels in Syria and would like to see Assad go.

So do the 'israel gets proxies to fight its wars' brigade think Turkey is also doing this, or is just Israeli intelligence gathering that they do not trust? Chemical weapons use or not I hope the US/UK/NATO do not get involved in Syria but let the Arab world sort it out themselves.

i dont think erdoğan is in corner he is long way off, he is tryin to get legal base to get in syria himself or get nato involved since first one is impossible by int law, unless syria declares war second opiton is the only one Turkey and israel shares common concerns and interests, and in my opinion understand eachother better than other states in region, past cooperation is proof and experince common interest leads conflict like we have seen erdoğan trying to break relations with israel to gain arab sympathty this is for two reason one is for arab investment second one is to make turkey more familirazed with arabs more arab tourists more bus, iness man doing busi, ness with arabs, more arab appearance by all means in turkey ,one can not impose such thing on people but can easily play for public subconscious, thus at the end shift of opinion occurs, althou this may go both way for better or for worse :) common concerns on the other hand is unifiying matters like syria or iran personally i think both turkey and israel can handle iran or syria alone but unifying makes things easier syria will definetly choose islamic goverment i think they will be more radical if you look at who rebels are consist of, those fighther has leaders bearded taliban like, they will claim representaiton on goverment level like other groups fighting in syria, it will even take so much time for these diffrent groups to find common ground if they can egypt has brotherhood goverment they are diffrent entity than al kaida or taliban, they are considerably moderate syria doesnt have that chance if you look at iraq you can see neither democracy still arrived nor they could improve their own country, even with western planted goverment they couldnt do it still bombs goes off on streets, syria is mess that just began and everyone wants a chunk of it thats my opinion :) good day to you to if you werent being sarcastic ofc :D

David I would concur with your comment and feel your personal thought is the correct one as well. I Know Israel Only wants peace with her neighbors and the region, but In this region Kindness Is Always Rewarded with Violence And Terror Directed At Jews in their own country? How's those chocolate egg creams, kasha kinishs and nathens dogs at coney island? Shalom my friend

20. the use of chemical weapons
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.02.13)
the use of chemical weapons should be a red line for the entire world. unfortunately, no one seems to care that chemical weapons were used in syria. russia and china are totally indifferent to international norms of behavior. both are intent on protecting what they consider to be their national security. part of their national security doctrine is the non-intervention in other sovereigns internal affairs. of course, they do intervene, but do so secretly. obama has been president for four years, but he still has not learned how to be an effective president. he has surrounded himself with mediocre incompetents and shut out any other advisor who might be sufficiently competent and experienced. whether americans like it or not, america has a historic role as the guarantor of certain freedoms. had the syrian rebels been armed at the beginning of the armed revolt, there might have been a chance to avoid the global jihad from playing the significant role that they now play in the syrian disaster. unfortunately, obama is incapable of making timely rational decisions. his belief that the united nations should make decisions rather than the american president is ideological nonsense.

23. #2 and #3
Obsessive ,   Turkey   (05.02.13)
#2 You're right but isolation never happens in the ME. Iraqi oil is flowing to Turkey. Turkey has received an offer from Chinese energy firm CGN for a 20 billion dollar nuclear power station. China edges ahead in Turkey nuclear race. Ready to share 100 pct of their knowhow. Russia is working on Akkuyu nuclear power plant. Before the revolution, Iran's former nuclear scientists were educated in Turkey. Iranian METU (Turkish Uni. ODTÜ) graduates worked in their own Nuclear Industry in Iran, and today Iranian METU- ODTÜ graduates cover the decision-making posts of top management level in Iranian Nuclear business. They construct, design and operate the Nuclear power plants in Iran. ME is an interesting place on the earth. They are all bellydancers. Not easy to live. Politically windy geography. Correct decision or mistake but beside nuclear tech. Turkey has shut down all the plane factories of "Eskişehir uçak fabrikası / Kayseri uçak fabrikası" because of American pressure (as your IAI Lavi) early 1950's. Russia, Iran and the Arab world have supported bloody Kurdish terror over Turkey since 30 years. Where was the American support? We don't have any ties with Armenia, for us not different than Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia. #3 The situation in Germany is a "scandal inside scandal" at the moment and exceeded the Deutsche Polizei. Media tells us about secret services,CIA even Turkish Police are in the ring. Being disclosed day by day. Interesting. Wait and see.

29. It isn't just chemical weapons
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.03.13)
That's only the tip of the iceberg. Syria is known to have biological agents, as well. Those are the ones that should be grabbing your attention and keeping you up nights. Think anthrax. Think smallpox. Think botulin toxin. Think pneumonic plague. Keep in mind that while the effects of chemical weapons are instantaneous, sme biological weapons need a few days to incubate -- the viruses. By the time you know you're sick, you've infected hundreds of others, if not thousands. Also, you're dead or horribly disfigured, you just haven fallen down yet. Botulin toxin kills in about sixty seconds. Chemical weapons can kill, make no mistake about that, and they can cause a great deal of discomfort, but mostly they do not kill and they dissipate quickly, even in a confined space. In the sarin gas attack in the Japanese subway, while over 6,000 people suffered effects from the sarin, only 12 people died. The media needs to quit harping about chemical weapons. Of all the nonconventional weapons in the world, biological weapons are the worst.
30. To: No. 27
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.03.13)
And when several al Qaeda operatives enter the United States carrying easy-to-conceal chemical and biological agents, and sets them loose in ten or twelve cities .... don't say we didn't warn you. Israel's not the target here, Cameron. The target is the United States. Do you think they've forgotten about bin Laden? Please don't howl and pound too loudly. We'll ignore you, anyway -- just as you have ignored us in our greatest time of need.
