1. sounds great. What we waiting for?
Bob ,   London   (05.03.13)
2. Oh, stop!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.03.13)
The United States has no intention of backing Israel in a preemptive strike against Iran. Israel doesn't believe this administration. For good reason. What we WILL do, is pull your chestnuts from the coals, as we have done so many times in the past. Just as we did in Iraq. We will also continue to warn you about threats to the United States throughout the world -- just as we did in Egypt, Yemen and Libya. Which you chose to ignore. Very much to your peril -- or to your current president's private agenda. You're out of the loop, now. We do not trust you. For good reason. And the next time a terrorist attack occurs on United States soil, go ahead and whine and wring your hands and ask yourselves why. You should listen to us. Israel has your best interests at heart. What a shame that your president does not.

Diplomacy will never work for the Chamberlainers. Arn.Sweden.
5. Let's say it right : if the western world doesn't stop Iran
Yossef   (05.03.13)
Israel will not need the WOoPy bomb, we'll nuke Iran, plain and simple. So, think about it and decide what you prefer.
6. Bunker bomb bluster
Get Real ,   UK   (05.03.13)
Fine so they have devloped the weapon to do the job. This is re-assuring to know a US attack on Iran's nuclear plants now has greater chance of success. But if the US is not prepared to act it must not stop Israel acting alone if the need arose. In the meantime Israel should continue to prepare for the worst case scenario.
7. The Yankee savior
Cameron ,   USA   (05.03.13)
To pull scared bottoms off the hook they hang on. To save................or not to save. The fate of Israel itself hinging upon Obama leaning back in his chair, and making a decision. One man. Fascinating times.
8. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.03.13)
The United States is not a savior. Certainly not of Israel -- we do that all by ourselves. Along the way, of course, we have saved the United States. Remember Osirac? How many Americans did not come home in body bags in the Gulf War, Cameron, thanks to Israel's foresight? And what has the United States done for Israel lately, except try to bully us into a "peace" with people who do not know the meaning of the word, and have no intention of standing by their so-called "word?" I have no doubt that it will be left to Israel to quell the growing threat to America in both Syria and Iran. We'll do it, too. And then sit back and watch as you take all the credit. Nothing new under the sun, eh?
9. THEY WANT TO BOMB A NUCLEAR REACTOR? THIS IS INSANE!
stude ham   (05.03.13)
there is no way that the bombing of a nuclear reactor can be done without incurring the spread of the most harmful radiation on a worldwide scale. apparently the US has no way of dealing with the Persian nuclear menace. too bad that lunatics still remain in charge of the US.
10. Fools strategy
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (05.03.13)
obama has no intention of helping Israel defend itself against annihilation. Showing these lollypops to IDS forces is designed to mollify Israel's anxieties. When a president shows off armaments like the MOP and F-22, forbids Israel from obtaining them, then warns it not to defend itself under some vague promise of defense, it is a cynical ploy to stall Israel, render it paralyzed from taking action while US has no intent of defending it.
11. It takes vision and courage to do it but
Abu Yousuf El- Dugri   (05.03.13)
Obama is not the leader to deliver that, he is just good speaker.
12. Bombing successful. Then what???
Rachel Rabin ,   TA, Israel   (05.03.13)
13. #12, Israel lives to see another day...
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (05.03.13)
...you seem to have a problem with survival. You prefer nuclear annihilation?
14. Fordo?....
JGad ,   Israel   (05.03.13)
Where I heard that name before?
15. Sarah my neighbor has a crystal ball 2!
Israel ,   Israel   (05.03.13)
You, like my neighbor, write from the position of the all knowing all seeing Oz! The only difference is that my neighbor is a sweet old lady and you well you are neither sweet nor a lady!
16. Ah....The Lord of the Rings!
JGad ,   Israel   (05.03.13)
I never saw the movie :-( ....
17. The B2/MOP combination has the best chance of succes
Adam ,   Princeton   (05.03.13)
The USA is the only country capable of inflicting significant damage on the Iranian program. Israel can not do this on their own, if they could it would have been done already a was the case for Osirac and al-Kibar. None of this "red line" and all options on the table rhetoric. Israel and the USA have done an impressive job covertly delaying the program through assassinations and Cyber warfare. To those who say that the US has not done enough to defend Israel I say go back and review your history. Nixons airlift and SR71 reconnaissance in 1973 saved Israel from annihilation when no other country in the world lifted a finger to help. Agree with #12 then what? The response from Iran would be devastating. I don't think Obama is Neville Chamberlain and as anti Israel as people think.
18. Sara B....
JGad ,   Israel   (05.03.13)
Define new....
19. Carrying the MOP
(05.03.13)
There are only a few military aircraft in the world capable of carrying the huge MOP, some US and some Russian (unreliable). However there is only one stealth aircraft large enough to carry the MOP, and that is the US B-2 stealth bomber. With 2 MOPs dumped on Fordo, that nuclear site will be burried under mountains of unstable rock rubble never to be functionable again. The other sites will suffer the same fate. The time is drawing near. Sit back and enjoy.
20. to #9: stewed brains
tom ,   toronto, canada   (05.03.13)
you mean like the way the bombing of the osiraq reactor or the al kabir reactor "spread the most harmful radiation throughout the whole world"? fordo isn't a nuclear reactor, it's a bunch of enrichment centrifuges in a fortified bunker under a mountain. there is no chance of a nuclear explosion, and even if there was, the safest place for it would be underground, where it is. the bunker buster bomb is not a nuke. it weighs 15 tons, but only contains 2 tons of high explosive; approximately 1/10,000 of the force of the small nuclear bomb dropped on hiroshima. but never let facts stand in the way of a good story.
21. paradox
michel ,   Israel   (05.03.13)
In this moment many regimes are thinking that is better to have the USA as a foe than an ally :The foe don`t risk anything.
22. #5 and we will nukes you
inconito   (05.03.13)
and we will nukes you nukes you back, , plain and simple. So, think about it and decide what you prefer. we need just one bomb, and there is no way you can stop iran from having it, even by nukes
23. #12 you get nukes is you go to war againt iran
inconito   (05.03.13)
u will get nuclear annilation only if you start a war with iran. your thinking is : if we strike iran won't have the bomb. GRATEST mistake, iran will get the bomb if not yet EVEN after being bombed, acually bombing will just free their hands from NPT only !
24. destroy fordow, remain to be seen !
inconito   (05.03.13)
but if ever, it will only take iranian a bite more time to build quickly a fare more deep facilty... someting like NORAD or french ALBION plateau. such facility can withstand even nuclear blast. u will have to drink the calice, and see a nuclear iran FOR WHAT IT IS INEVITABLE
25. #22 we'll see...
Yossef   (05.03.13)
26. More sick games from Obama. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.03.13)
Obama is playing more sick games with Israel because he hates Israel and supports Iran. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
27. What is the point of making this information public?
Juha Teuvonnen ,   Boston,MA   (05.03.13)
Why would the US advertise to Iran that such a bomb is indeed available? The logical conclusion is to make Iran more willing to negotiate either giving up their uranium enrichment program, or bringing it under international control. If the US had the intent to strike any time soon, why would this be published? It's an obvious signal to Iran: if you don't agree to our demands, we might just sell some F-35s and a few of these "new and improved" bunker busters and see what happens. When were the F-35s due to arrive in Israel, was that 2014?
28. BHO-Bomb can destroy Fordo nuke plant-After U are hit!
