1. USA has to do more Profiling.
Beni B ,   Baltimore   (05.06.13)
If not, then the issue will most likely get worse. Many who come to the USA from 3rd world and unstable islamic countries present a threat to American Democracy. It will take the next new president to actually get things done in USA.
2. 10,000+ dead Americans since 9/11 fighting for Israel
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.06.13)
3. Blind support of Israel has brought global terror to World
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.06.13)
4. The problem with this notion...
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (05.06.13)
...is that so many Americans think that homosexuality, "the global warming hoax", "that evil that is 'science'" and "commies like Obama", are a far greater threat than Islamic terrorism. I'd say that a good 40-45% of the American public reasons like this: Why worry about a pimple on the nose (Islamic terorism) when lethal cancer (the phenomenons mentioned above) is being spread throughout our society? The irony of all this: in several states a potential terrorist would be more welcome than an academic, or "...'s long 's he's not 1 of dem hooomooooos..."
5. Media is fake, fiction, propaganda...
JMK ,   NYC   (05.06.13)
and most people are so foolish to believe whatever nonsense that is being sold to them. This week we hate Israelis, next week Muslims, the next week gun toting men with Asbergers, one week Contras the next not, the public is a puppet on strings, and will do whatever the marioinette wants.
6. no more vacuum
Alon ,   TA   (05.06.13)
Its not only that. In international relations there is no vacuum. If we dont put the onus and focus on Mecca and Medina,ie Islam ( not extremist Islam but mainstream), we will lose the war as we are now ( the West with all ita technology and weapons IS losing to islam). Since we created a vacuum by not demanding reform of islam, we hVe brought that force/ideology into the West . Instead of our culture norma and way of life penetrating their foundations, theirs have penetrates ours. Because of the vacuum.
7. 1st century Israel-firsters now 21st century Israel-firsters
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (05.07.13)
"Jews in the Jewish Diaspora have been accused of dual loyalty by the Romans in the 1st century, by the French in the Dreyfus Affair in the late 19th century, in Stalin-era Soviet Union in the 20th century. Before the creation of Israel, Jewish anti-Zionists used the accusation against other Jews. While today some use the phrase in a "neutral and non-pejorative fashion," this use can obscure the fact that home nations and Israel may have sharp political differences. The 1991 Gulf War and the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq lead to such accusations against Jewish neoconservatives, vocal proponents of war against Iraq who allegedly sought to undermine Arab nations hostile to Israel (i.e., the term "Israel-firster")."
8. Islamic terror
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (05.07.13)
Islamic terrorism arose out of Islam. It did not arise because of Israel, or Iraq, or Afghanistan. The root cause of Islamic terrorism is the Islamic doctrine of death to infidels. The two major branches of Islam, the Sunnis and the Shiites, each consider the other to be infidels, and have been killing each other for centuries for that reason. The killing continues to this day, in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Mali, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Nigeria and Syria, to name just a few of the affected Muslim countries. And, it continues in infidel countries, such as the USA. Muslim clerics continue to issue Fatwas calling for the death of Christians, Jews, and infidels. It is not politically correct to discuss Islamic doctrine. But,, until the root issue of terrorism is dealt with, there will be no peace. The US President, Obama, has declared that Islam is the religion of love, and that terrorism is due to a tiny minority. If that was true, and if Obama had the least bit of conviction and courage, he would demand that the Muslim World renounce the Islamic doctrine of death to infidels, and the vast majority of Muslims would support him. Unfortunately, Obama has neither courage nor conviction, and the vast majority of Muslims would not support him.
9. Islamic extremism
harold ,   tel aviv   (05.09.13)
The Western world needs to take Islamist extremism much more seriously. I liked Rabbi David Bar-Hayim's recent video interview on the Boston bombings.
