1. Assad would be well advised to keep quiet
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (05.05.13)
israel had warned assad numerous times that he should refrain from transferring advanced weapons to islamic terrorists, including hezbollah. israel has absolutely no intention to take sides in the bloody, devastating fratricidal war taking place in syria . however, israel will not allow the transfer of advanced weapons to terror groups or the stationing of iranian palamilitary thugs on Israel's borders. as long as assad respects israel's red lines, israel will keep out of syria.
2. Bashar Assad
John Klekota ,   New York   (05.05.13)
The eye Doctor knows if he makes a move on Israel he is finished. If I were him I would move to Paris and start a practice as an Eye Doctor.
3. Syrian retaliation
Get Real ,   UK   (05.05.13)
Most unlikely from a regime struggling with a rebellion on its hands, and which has little world sympathy for its part in the death and destruction across Syria.
4. 3rd time is the charm
Observer   (05.06.13)
2 days ago they got stuck by Israel and they did not confess it. Yesterday they got struck by Israel and they couldn't deny it but chickened out and tried to pretend that nothing great happened. Today strike them for the last time. The third time is the charm and strike destroy the Syrian Air Force in their site as well as the Presidential Palace. This will for sure bring down Assad.
5. why all the glee??
Cali Lib ,   Los Angeles, USA   (05.06.13)
Seems to me that the only people that suffer the retaliation that always follows are Israeli and Jewish civilians. Hezbollah and Iran have their targets already.
6. ISRAEL MUST DO WHAT SHE HAS TO...
les ,   canada   (05.06.13)
assad per say is not a problem. but his handlers, iran and the russians are. and if the same thing happens in syria as it did in lybia, it could be deadly to israel. assad has more weapons, and a lot more sophisticated arsenal than gadafi ever had. israel must stop terrorists to aquire them!
7. Time to send our top diplomat Liberman to smooth things over
Haim ,   TA   (05.06.13)
Oh sorry i forgot the former thug from moldavia is currently in court on charges of corruption and money laundering. Oh well....
8. Assad...Mass Murderer
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (05.06.13)
I don't think this ibn elef sharmoot will be able to retaliate, even if he wanted to. I don't envy him if he falls into the hands of the rebels...he has a lot of innocent blood to atone for!
9. Well, correct me if I'm wrong ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.06.13)
... but Israel runs the show in this part of the world. The Russians cannot even handle Chechnya. How about they stay out of our business. Israel is the only stable and dependable government in the Middle East. That's OUR bailiwick. The Russians can foam at the mouth as much as they want -- we'll sit back and laugh. They can put as much of what passes for their navy off Tartous -- do they think that a couple of rusting old hulks scares Israel? Remember the Kursk? Russia is not in a position to challenge Israel's hegemony in the Middle East. They are well advised to stay clear of the conflict. Unless they are looking for another unhappy accident. That can be arranged.
10. when they do, Isaiah 17:1, will come true
