1. Haredi Nobel winners
Bobby ,   Netanya   (05.08.13)
Haredim will perform vey well in any field as long as they are given the opportunity and an understanding rabbinic leadership that understands that israeli society needs them. Put the Haredis in scientific institutions and R&D and they will do wonders. They dont watch TV go to clubs or chase after women so they can concentrtae on whatecer projects they are doing. If we integrate them into science, in20-30 years we will have Haredi phycisits chemists and scientists coming from them and winning Nobel.

5. Religious Leadership
Joel ,   Ossining, NY   (05.23.13)
Few would doubt that the Haredim have the ability to contribute to society. The obstacle is the rabbinical leadership which fears any contact with the the outside society, fear that if their members are educated in the core curriculum they will leave the fold. This attitude of retreat started with the Haskala and continues today. One has to question of the religious convictions of a group which lives in fear of any contact of the outside. Is there religion so shallow that it cannot tolerate any intellectual challenge?Unfortunately the rabbinate and roshei yeshiva in Israel are largely uneducated in secular knowledge - why anyone would look to them for leadership is a mystery to me.
