1. ?!?are willing to accept our forgiveness,
Rachel ,   Home now   (05.09.13)
and we know that what they went through cannot be described or explained in words, and they are entitled to treat us however they please. Our role as Germans and dancers performing in front of Holocaust survivors is to say there is a new generation in Germany that will make sure that what happened then will not happen again." First partial sentence of quote. Use of "they accept our .forgiveness"?! Freudian slip or bad editing/translating.
2. I would be far more interested ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.09.13)
.... in knowing how many able-bodied Holocaust survivors declined to attend. How many understand that all the tears and apologies in the world cannot erase the stain. The sins of the fathers are visited upon the children .... and that would apply to every German, Austrian, Dutch or any one else who has a forebear who was a Nazi collaborator. Some truths are inescapable.

Hey Sarah, wouldnt expect any less than a comment like this from you. Nobody is asking anybody to forgive or forget the people that did this, but visiting sins of fathers on children is a horrible rationale. None of these kids were even born when the holocaust happened. Some didnt even have parents who were born then. Why should they carry a sin from that? "The sins of the father" crap is the same thing used to "punish" the Jews for the alleged persecution of Jesus.
4. Grand childreen of the ss
Steve V. Gure ,   coconut creek, fl   (05.09.13)
There is nothjing to forgive. Those childreen were not alive when their grand parents commited horrible crimes. As a holocaust survivor I appreciate their gesture
5. # 3 . I agree 100 %
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (05.09.13)
Children , grandchildren , can't be responsible for acts comitted by their parents or grandparents . We haven't to forgive those children , grandchildren , they didn't commit any crime . We , and they , haven't to forget what their ancestors did , and apparently those descendants don't want to forget it either .
6. You cannot blame the children
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (05.09.13)
You cannot blame the grandchildren for the sins of the fathers that just makes you look silly. The only way to prevent another Holocaust is if the grandchildren of Germans mix with the grandchildren of holocaust survivors.

What exactly do you mean by "mixing" those grandchildren? I'm very curious to know.
