I live in the UK, and since there is a good social services, there are not as much crimes than say a country like the US. where if you are in the street you are on your own. if you need medical help then you are on your own as well. In order to see the net effect of Jewish activity on resident Arabs they should not be compared to Jews but to Arabs in other Arab countries. How does spending on Arabs in Egypt compare. How does Arab population growth in Egypt, compare, etc. Relative to what they do for themselves, Arabs within Jewish ruled areas never had it so good anywhere else. Jerusalem are severely limited compared to those in other parts of Jerusalem. 2) It ignores the fact that such benefits were not extended by previous govts to E. jerusalem neighborhoods using the Oslo Accords as a premise that Jerusalem would be divided again and it would be harder to make peace with normalization policies in place which would in effect keep Jerusalem unified simply through inertia. Now - that point I disagree with and I think Oslo is dead, Jerusalem should remain always unified, and residents there given full benefits and municipal services. 3) This is the major point that the report ignores - service providers are often attacked when entering Arab neighborhoods. Even trash collection there can be dangerous. Israel built the light rail into a few neighborhoods and the Arabs threw rocks at it, even though it could help alleviate traffic, enhance tourism and commerce, and investment projects there.
