If they do not like the ammenities they receive from the taxes the rest of us pay, then I say they shouldn't get them. If they don't like security, or waste disposal, go to the neighborhoods and have a vote. If they choose to decline their right to security and waste disposal, clear out all the bins and dumpsters. Don't have police and army enter their neighborhoods. Any of the ultra orthodox that choose to join the army from those neighborhoods and wear their uniform with pride should be treated with the honor they deserve and helped to find a place to live elsewhere if they desire.

Haredi media must learn from secular media how to post their news. If one secular Israeli Jew/Arab throws stones at Jews or IDF, they should headline it "Secular throw stones at Jews".

If anybody else, Jew, Muslim, Christian or Bedouin etc threw stones, garbage etc. and attacked police and soldiers, they'd be locked up. Time to start treating the Haredim in the same way that all other citizens are treated. Lock them up!

As an American Jew observing this from afar, I am mystified as to why the Haredim are continually allowed to behave this way with no consequences. Is it just my imagination, or is it true that no one from the Haredim ever receive any punishment for these behaviors? This article doesn't question its own facts nearly enough. The police don't seem to have witnessed the alleged riot. There is no interview with the supposed soldiers, nor any witnesses of the soldiers or any indication as to whether they were attacked. The only fact that seems to have been established was that a trash can caught fire and some obstacles were placed in the road. Police showed up. I'm not taking a side, but this is poor reporting, to say the least.

The Haredim are an intricate part of the State and the populace. But they do not live in a vaccum. We have Haredim in Montreal and they too live within their own community ...but they pay their way.
