31. Probably a good day to ask for money
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (05.21.13)
While this man is a sick sob, it appears many people here can relate to his frustration. Interesting how bank managers will react today when people ask for a loan or larger overdraft.
32. He snapped...Solutions to a arsing problem...where?
Nechama ,   USA   (05.21.13)
I am thinking and thinking: What was his motive and why, why would anyone with debt take such a horrendous alternative? I am thinking that: With the new budget cuts many people will left hanging dry as this guy, with no alternative. Would they arrive to the same ending? No one knows! I am thinking: How can we prevent this cases becoming a tragedy? I am thinking that: Debting in this country has very hash laws, the debt is not such...it becomes a monster debt. Per example if you owe 10,000 and you default on the payment it duplicates even tri-plicates and arrives to the Otzar Le Foal and you never finish paying it: I mean never. Otzar Le Foal is an organization from the goverment that helps the institutions of private individuals to collect a debt. I am thinking that: That the Institutions and heir lawyers make big business and Big bucks!. The debt by law gets written off as a loss. They charge Interest rates of Loan Sharks! I am not exaggerating! Backed up by the government! I am thinking that: Many of the companies that you owe money don't let you pay the debt... They never mail you the agreement. They can't find your account. You are not on their system. Is never ever clear what you owe and why...never send the agreement to the debtor and never give the Bank Account where to deposit the payment. I am thinking that: All this is sickening! Today we have around 48.000 families that cannot make their mortgage!...What will happen in a year to come after "The new budget cuts, the Tax increase and more"? I am thinking: What can be a viable solution to this problem before gets out of hand!... I am thinking: This guy is a special case but we have a big ratio of poverty, are we gonna look to the other side? I hope I am not the only one thinking that something has to be done.
33. #5 Could you also teach that to Shas MKs?
Haim ,   TA   (05.21.13)
Maybe you could teach your so called morality to Ben Izri and Deri from Shas as they obviously missed that lesson on the commandments including "thou shalt not steal" Funny i am not relgious and all ive ever received was a parking ticket.
34. Service at Israel's Banks is horrible.
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada.   (05.21.13)
It doesn't matter whether it's Leumi, Hapoalim, etc. they all give lousy service. I once had a Visa credit card that I paid off every month and Israel Discount Bank cancelled the card because they said I didn't have a normal job. What's normal in Israel? I paid every month on time. What since does it make to cancel the card? I have no sympathy for bank employees in Israel. I can understand somebody shooting them down with a gun. And they want Jews to leave the comforts of the Galut and come to that crazy place? Forget it!
35. Bank
(05.21.13)
Why everytime I go to the bank I am asked if I carry a weapon? Why in my country of origin there's a security sas before entering the bank hall that will detect any weapon?
36. Double Edged Sword
John Edward the 4th ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.24.13)
Tragic and unjustified!! Nevertheless, no surprise to me that something like this happened here either. The banking system for the proletariat is the most salient example of Israel's backwardness and proximity to the 3rd world. Not sure which is worse for the average Jew - Israel or exile. Then again, Israel's government has largely abandoned Jewish Law, so many would argue that living in Israel is still living in exile.
