Tutu should stick to helping his own people,who suffer from poverty,gang rapes,child rapes,Aids,muggings,car hijackings,murders,corruption,nepotism. South Africa is a basket case,run by people like this Desmond Tutu.

All this man needs to do is not look far beyond his own nose to see some of the world's worst pockets of poverty, despotism, racial strife, disease, and overall misery--let him focus on that. Where kids play soccer should be the least of his concerns.

An Open Letter to Mr Tutu, and all people who believe in boycotting Israel: Dear People: My name is Ibrahim Suleiman. I was born in Israel. I am a Muslim. I am also Israeli. I dread the day that I am forcibly repatriated to a Palestinian State. I do not want to live there. I want to live in Israel. It is my home and has always been my home. I received my education here. I went to University here and I am raising my family here. Here I am free. I vote. I work. I eat. I even go on vacation. I would not change my country for another. I do not want to live in a Muslim state. I prefer living where I was born. Do not presume you understand our situation here. It is clear you do not. In the West Bank a weak man hangs onto power by the will of foreign governments including my own. In the West Bank honour killings take place. In the West Bank suicide bombers and rock throwing thugs are raised to teach more of the same. Gaza is even worse. That area is run by terrorists. Terrorists who have only one goal; the destruction of Israel; the destruction of my homeland. You accuse Israel of apartheid. You accuse Israel of discriminating against Arabs. You are wrong. I get to send my children to school to learn math, science, social studies and tolerance. They attend classes with Jews, and other Muslims there are even some Pilipino children. They all get to learn and play together even football. Not one is taught to hate Arabs as a matter of course. They are not even taught to hate Gaza or the West Bank. They are taught about peace. Sadly they are also taught about bomb shelters. They have drills where they all huddle together as a group in the bomb shelter no one is left outside. I hope one day my children will live in peace with our Arab neighbors. I hope that the threat of missiles and suicide bombers will be a thing of history. I hope I will be able to walk into a store or onto a plane without being scrutinized to the nth degree. But until that time, I put up with the additional scrutiny. I put up with the roadblocks and the long questions and extra screening at airports. I do so willingly. It protects me, for I am an even bigger target than any of my Jewish neighbours. I am an Arab Israeli who is happy in Israel. Arab terrorists see me as a traitor. I see me as a patriot. I love my country. I love Israel. Your depiction of my country as apartheid saddens me and it is wrong. I am glad the U21 games will be held here. It can only teach tolerance. While you are teaching something else. It is a pity you don't see the opportunities in your effort to only condemn.

Today the united Christian church of Canada added more boycotts of Israeli goods. I wonder why more and more so called Christians openly support Islam and it's followers. If they want to covert to Islam they should but clearly they don't have the guts to do so. Despicable at best. And for the Nobel prize- that has for long been an insult to decent people.

Wonderful to hear an Israeli Muslim speak the truth to counter the Arab propaganda spewed by haters like Tutu. I have seen the open and inclusive society Mr. Suleiman states first hand. And for Tutu to condemn Israel for separting itself from terrorists is just plain disingenuous. It was only after suffering hundreds of deaths at the hands of Palestinian terrorists that Israel was forced to construct a physical barrier and bar their entry into Israel. Before then, Palestinians worked inside Israel and in Israeli-sponsored industrial zones. Palestinians start their intifada and Tutu has the nerve to blame Israel for defending her people; it defies logic.

Dear Ibrahim, I admire you. I admire the single person speaking from the heart without fear. Such individuals like you, ignoring the angry indoctrinated crowds have MUCH higher value than liars from BSD, UN, Arab League etc. altogether. Sal'am.

U must live in a different Israel, i live in jerusalem i am a palestinian born in the US that lives in jerusalem i get harrased at checkpoints daily for 1 hour because I am an Arab and was caught up in a house raid while i was visiting my uncle , ive also witnessed house demolitions and i also witnessed a old lady get shot with a rubber bullet in the hand because kids were throwing rocks.
