32. Kosher CocaCola
Valerie ,   Israel   (05.30.13)
I don't understand how anyone can even drink Coca Cola. If it can clean metal wha ton earth does it do to your insides and that's without even thinking about the damage it does to your teeth. Stick to drinking tap water and then you don't need to worry about kashrut.

35. #27 - I have and know very well the facts of my statement
William ,   Israel   (05.30.13)
In an overly litigious society, the ability to sue anyone for anything, without much repurcussions is apparent. That's not the case in Israel where both the norm to sue at the drop of a hat and the ability to hold people responsible for their action doesn't widely exist. And if a person loses a case the cost can be very high in terms of court costs and legal fees, making the use of the legal system out of reach from the average citizen. In the US, you can sue anyone for a mere $50, that's all. Also, unlike Israel, the West allows for punitive damages which drives the number of court cases. In Israel, you can only sue for the proven amount lost, such as when Cellcom changed it rate structure and made it retroactive back to the beginning of the year costing users millions of shekels. They were hit with a class action lawsuit, found guilty, and all they had to do was return those funds - no punishment, even when they admitted "it didn't hurt to try". In the US, one can sue a city for a loose tile in a public building and win. In Israel, everyone would tell that person to be more careful and look where they are walking.
36. Common Sense

It is not like Palestinians are adding pork to Coke products. Please, people, a little common sense!
37. People have the right to know...
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (05.31.13)
Those people who do keep Kasher have the right to know if there are reservations about a particular product, in order to make their own decisions according to their beliefs and customs. When I was in Egypt, there was no Coca-Cola, but there was Pepsi and 7Up-- but both had a lot of added sugar to cater to the local tastes, and the result was, for my taste, horrible. There was so much sugar that it felt like you were drinking carbonated Pepsi syrup, not Pepsi Cola. After one try, I stuck to bottled water for the rest of the trip.

Shame that kosher only deals with certain aspects of our foods, and in our modern times does not also include what is healthy.
