Oleg ,   Canada   (06.03.13)
Except Russia is not aligned to DPRK, Iran or Syria for that matter. Russia has her own interests. They do business with Iran just for their own financial interests and they need Syria to repay them huge sums of money they owe. That's why having Assad there makes that probable and the opposition - would not.
10. The same arab statments
Vicente ,   Santiago / Chile   (06.03.13)
Its lovly to see that the arabs never loose their ability to give such big speeches: "We will go to their strongholds, where they think they are protected. They are going to collapse like a house of cards.", each time they give such speechs, they ended loosing the war...
11. North Korea pleasing a good customer
Alan ,   Canada   (06.03.13)
If the news of North Korean officers in Syria is true it could be Pyongyang trying to line up as a current or future supplier of weapons in competition to Russia, Iran & China. Weapons such as missiles & nuclear weapons are the only goods North Korea has for export & the country leaders badly need the Iranian pétrodollars that Syria receives to maintain their priviledged standard of living while many in the population are barely above the starvation level..
12. Bush was an idiot to go after Iraq
Dave ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.03.13)
Saddam was a toothless tiger, of course the cowards Bush and Cheney only attacked countries that couldn't defect themselves. Iran and Syria should have been the first strikes.

15. Prepare Contingencies
Zechariah   (06.03.13)
The Nation of Israel has to be protected by full preparation for all scenarios.Nuclear Shelters is the Minimal priority.Horrific Deterrance ought be Made Insurmountable.
16. #12, Dave: Are you a revisionist?
Tom W ,   USA   (06.03.13)
Saddam occupied Kuwait first and declared it as 19th. province of Iraq. Fact or not? Saddam also had other expansionist plans affecting Saudi Arabia so he became a menace in the Arab world: he paid suicide bombers in Israel. He had to be curtailed. So much about being "toothless". Of course you leftists are suffering of "BDS" (Bush derangement syndrome) and all the horrendous atrocities are whitewashed if the guilty is a darling of the left.
17. What a complete and utter FRAUD.
SCB ,   US   (06.05.13)
18. #9
MadMoto ,   Los Angeles USA   (06.06.13)
That doesn't explain the large naval and marine base the Russians have in Syria, now does it. They are allies, plain and simple.
19. syrian observatory of human rights
christoph ,   narrogin australia   (06.07.13)
What a load of propaganda rubbish. The Syrian observatory of human rights is an oxymoron. People who listen to this sick man are "morons".
