31. to no. 28
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (06.12.13)
There are no conclusive studies on the effects of being raised by married gay parents because there still aren't enough cases and not enough time has passed. Let me ask you something. Let's say you're going to be reincarnated. Your natural parents will die in a car crash soon after you're born. You could be adopted by a married man and woman, or two married gay men. Do you have any preference, or is it all the same to you? Everyone should honestly ask him or herself this question (you can substitute "two married gay women") and honestly answer it. Then apply the answer to the issue of gay marriage and adoption.
32. God of all Creation
Dror ,   Haifai, Israel   (06.12.13)
He has His Commandments and He has His Terms for breaking His Commandments. Do as you please and live with the consequences... Jews have been self defeating masochists for centuries...This insistence on Homosexual acceptance is a prime example of a self inflicted wound. God is Merciful, God is Unconditional Love, God is Just, God is Fair... the Law is Measure for Measure... His Patience is long, but when the Hammer of Judgement falls that is when man becomes a sad delussional child wondering why he has been punished.
33. happy to see
Daniel ,   TA - IL   (06.12.13)
that I am not the only one who is getting tired of the narcisistic in your face mentatlity of the egoncentric selfinvolved LGBT activists. Be gay all you want, but leave me out of it. By the way acceptance does not mean applause and does not give gays or women of the wall the right to enforce their believes or ways of live on others... they after all cry that it is done to them! marriage is a religious institute and not yours... you want something similar go ahead create a new religion or something
34. #30 Michael in Arad
Dror ,   Haifai, Israel   (06.12.13)
Every part of Israel is considered to be a part of a functioning body. For instance Jerusalem is known as the Heart of Israel. The North is the mind and intellect of Israel. Tel Aviv and the surounding areas are considered to be the large intestines, the rectum , and anus of the body of Israel. All of the kaka comes out of Tel Aviv and the surrounding areas.
35. but Dror, who is god?
(06.12.13)
Who is it? What is it? I really don't know what you're talking about What is this merciful god you're talking about?

40. No. 31
NYC Girl   (06.12.13)
Trust me, I didn't make this up. It came up in a discussion on WOR Radio in New York on the Joan Hamburg Show on June 11th. However, the study didn't necessarily refer to gay marriage because civil unions are recognized in a number of states and some of those have been in effect for several years. As far as your question is concerned, my preference isn't the issue. The fact is that there are people who are gay and who are always going to be gay and they have as much of a right to have children as some of the dysfunctional heterosexual parents who have no restrictions whatsoever on whether or not they can become parents. And, frankly, if I had the choice of having two loving gay parents, as opposed to some of the straight parents who've totally screwed up people I know personally, I would choose the former without hesitation..
41. "rom" #5
Robert Haymond ,   Teko'a, Israel   (06.12.13)
I hold the same perspective re the gay community in Israel as you do, rom. I would add, however, that being known as the "gay capitol of the Mideast" does bring in considerable economic activity from tourism, especially for the Tel Aviv area. And this increased economic activity, to put it bluntly, is advantageous to the country but, frankly, not in my backyard.
42. Now I feel more optimistic about Israel
Baruch ,   Boston, USA   (06.12.13)
43. 39 - it's something that has been proved scientifically
(06.12.13)
And if you think that saying that Tel Aviv is where the poo of Israel comes out from is being a superior mind then I really don't have much hope for this country...
44. to # 40
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (06.12.13)
Yes, that's the irrelevant, evasive answer people give. Of course there are individual cases of heterosexuals who are awful parents and awful people. But when deciding societal policies and norms, we have to deal on the aggregate level. If the adopting heterosexual couple and the adopting gay couple are, all four of them, good people, the person who chooses the adopting gay couple is pretty weird, I'd say. This is like saying my father had nothing to offer me as a man, and I'd have been just as well off with two mommies. This is of course utter nonsense. Both fathers and mothers have special things to offer. But if we adopt gay marriage and adoption as a norm, we're sentencing a lot of innocent babies and children to being adopted by gays instead of heterosexuals, and missing out on the special, unique things that heterosexual--I would say, normal--pairs of parents can give. A shame.

Dror superior ? A believer as he is certainly not , all of you "brainwashed" . I have only to pity those with such reactions , you and this dror
46. Bad fit
Stuart ,   South Africa   (06.12.13)
Look at how we are designed. Were two men designed to fit together? I do not judge people who are gay. Judgement is for God alone. I do not and will not however accept that it is natural because it is not. Rights??? Please. I was called homophobic because I did not agree with the act of homosexuality. If I do not agree with the act of corruption am I corupto phobic? The gay person who called me homophobic told me that heterosexual people are all intolerant. I called him hetrophobic and he was stumped. Do whatever you want to do in your own home but do not force me to agree with your acts and call me a hater if I do not. Forcing me to agree against my own beliefs is intolerant of my beliefs. Calling me a hater and homophobic because I dont agree with your act of homosexuality is judgmental. Prancing around in the street half naked is stupid and disgraceful for anyone. And so the war begins.......
47. who says we have to like gays?

is full proof without experimentation. Tell me ,anonymous, when and where did that experimentation happen?
51. 50 & others. Proof is in the pudding...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (06.12.13)
People who believe unconditionally in G-D have a deep inner peace, a wellbeing ,a loving heart, genuine joy of life ,peaceful nights and so on. That a great deal of non-believers only get with pills.
52. 51 , a believer who talks to herself !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (06.12.13)
at least someone who listen and believes her tales to sleep with
53. 51 Add. ZERO risk by trying.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (06.13.13)
It is a win win step since we can at any moment go back at our confort zone, if, we don't feel, by connecting to G-D, lifted up and wellbeing.
54. Dror in Israel
Bikerwolf ,   London U.K.   (08.11.13)
I cannot speak for Israel as I live in Britain but in my country almost half of heterosexual marriages end in acrimonious divorce. According to our children's charities one million children are abused in some way each year. Our women have a quarter of a million abortions every year. 200,000 children live in children's homes and an equal number are fostered out to non- biological guardians. An estimated 100, 000 women work the streets in order to cater to heterosexual men who need to use them and family homicide is endemic. All this is happening without a gay or lesbian in sight. And you assert that there is something wrong with homosexualis? You're kidding me right?
55. Israel has made huge progress, but much work lies ahead
Mark D. Brown ,   Cape Town   (10.20.13)
56. Arabs in Israel
Mark D. Brown ,   Cape Town   (10.20.13)
Yes, Arabs are also Israelis, but they are only 20% of the country. This study would have us believe their views represent double that number of Israelis, which is not the case, and has huge implications when considering that Arab Israelis are often more socially conservative.
57. Thanks for pointing that out!
Mark D. Brown ,   Cape Town   (10.20.13)
I suspect there might also be a disproportionate number of Ultra-Orthodox Israelis represented. Too small a study to judge 8 million on.
58. Gay parents
Mark D. Brown ,   Cape Town   (10.20.13)
And yet much respected research all over the world says the same thing: your sexuality does not affect your parenting skills, but hey, don't let facts get in the way of your prejudice.
