A strong stable Jordan able to resist Iranian, Syrian and Hezbollah influences will help to ensure the Syrian conflict does not spread further. The same applies to Israel's determination to respond forceably to any aggression against it. Putin should be pleased Jordan, Israel and Turkey will take measures to defend themselves and therby contain the conflict, whereas Iranaian and Hezbollah involvement has only had a detrimental effect on Syria and Lebanon.Not that Putin cares as long as his base on the Med is secure.
