1. Syria
Edward Atiyeh ,   Glendale, CA. USA   (06.16.13)
Morsi of Egypt, a Muslim Brotherhood leader, an American Educated and Abdullah Ibn Hussein, Mostly of British Blood, the Jordanian Tribal Leader who actually never won anything except against the Palestinians are taking the masks off, the Syrian Government was not wrong when it is statements towards Morsi. All the Kings of Arabia have found a common enemy in the Syrian Regime. They’re yearning to bring Democracy to Syria; this is like having a whore preaches in a place of warship. And some call it revolution. What Assad should do and it is the perfect time for it is recognize Israel as it should have been done long ago and normalize the relationship, Syria does not have to be in the forfront of the Arab Israeli conflict and does no longer need to be used by those other Arab speaking countries. They can all go to hell, they Financed the destruction of Syria and long before Lebanon.

Assad.the son of bitch is gone. It was wrong to think that Hozbullah supports Muslim. Now this is clear that Hizbullah is a group of roughes & Hassan Nasrullah is the leader of the killers. May almighty Allah bless Mursi who showed courage & kicked back those killers from his country.
3. Syria to#1
yosef phd ,   florida israel   (06.16.13)
Right on, Edward, Yours is one of the rare, intelligent and dignified articles on this complex subject - what a treat, in comparison with the abysmal crudeness and gross ignorance of most posts here.
4. # 1...What Assad should do.....
Edithann ,   USA   (06.16.13)
Are you finally admitting it's Israel who is behind the Syrian uprising? Hmmm...Will recognizing Israel end the civil war in Syria? Does Israel have that much clout? We all know Israel is what keeps Egypt on the map with Amercan money...So again, it's ISRAEL.. TATA
5. Nice punch line at the end...
Don't mention ,   the war(s)   (06.16.13)
"Boom boom...)
6. No involvement!!!
Mark ,   London, UK   (06.16.13)
Why the hell are we even contemplating any activity with regards to Syria. Who is to pay for putting Syria back together again. Not me I hope!
7. Morsi
Get Real ,   UK   (06.16.13)
Morsi has shown his disgust and has wisely distanced himself from being tainted with supporting the Syrian regimes slaughter of its citizens. Will other Muslim countries follow suit, perhaps Lebanon next. Now that would be interesting. If the Arab League does not intervene in Syria why should it expect the US/West to do so?
8. #4 Trying reading...and UNDERSTANDING...again
A ,   Belgium   (06.16.13)
If Syria would have made peace with Israel, they MIGHT have had a strong ally against...themselves. Than again they may not have. It gets very hard to follow which moslem is stabbing which moslem in the back these days. As long as they keep stabbing, go ahead and blame the Jews. Its moslem blood that is running like rivers, and its spilled by moslems...as usual.
9. Shia Hezbollah + Shia Assad vs.Sunni Al Quaeda+Sunni Morsi
Sam ,   Canada   (06.16.13)
What a matchup! In trouble Assad asking Morsi to put Shia-Sunni rivalry aside by focusing on common enemy Israel. Morsi is supposed to ignore that Assad is using chemical weapons on Sunni.
10. No offence #2
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan   (06.17.13)
but, it was ALWAYS clear to us that Nasrullah and Hezbollah is a group of killers. of course when they were out trying to kill Jews, you had no problem with it. if the Palestinians were to ever rebel against Hamas, oh man! Again, as long as Hamas gets Palestinians killed by using them as human shields against Israel, its okay, as soon is israel is out of the equation, they are now evil to everyone else!!! hmm
11. Interesting...
Aharon ,   Holon, IL   (06.17.13)
I think the funny thing is that the REAL story is at the end of the article with Jordan threatening Syria with military action.
