1. The realignment...
DV ,   Sydney   (06.21.13)
While Lebanon and Iraq are polarised, Palestinians might be bracing themselves for realignments. The PLO has already expelled pro-Assad groups like Ahmed Jibril's PFLP-GC (who have been fighting for Assad and mowing Palestinians down in their own camps) while trying to dissociate itself from the conflict (which is neither practical nor realistic), which on paper doesn't differ much from Israel's. But it might also entail the prospect of exacting revenge against pro-Assad groups and their followers. Assad wants to expand the theatres of war to Lebanon and Iraq, he will next seek to bring it to the Palestinians. But what about the Druze and Bedouin in Israel itself?
2. Palestinians are to blame
Mark ,   London, UK   (06.21.13)
It's very clear that the Palestinian entities in WB and Gaza are responsible for the catastrophic situation in Syria. The call for solidarity has been met by Assad and his allies and the heinous wahabbist forces at the throats. Calls for the partition of Syria should follow shortly alsonside a demand for Palestinian homeland #4 carved out of Syrian territory. The claim to be based on their long history as south Syrians.
3. As a non-Muslim....
Mark ,   London, UK   (06.21.13)
... and from a Jewish point of view: I can now understand that there may be something in the oft-repeated phrase "Allahu Akbar". Who would have thought it would end up like this? Who's next?
4. Dilemna for the Jew bashers
Arnold ,   Montreal-Canada   (06.21.13)
For Hamas or against. For Hezbollah or against . For Assad or against. For the rebels or against. What to do ? What to do ? Gee is so much easier when they can blame Israel.
