61. Junk food - in more than one way
Dani   (06.28.13)
McDonalds food is unedible and toxic anyway. Boycott them and make your doctor happier. I say Invite Karl Jr to open a branch instead - their lettuce-wrapped burger is healthier and much tastier anyway. Down with McDrek!
62. Great opportunity for the locals!
kate b ,   uk refugee   (06.28.13)
You can offer better, healthier food and keep all the profits. All the money can then be ploughed back into this part of Israel's community. This is a blessing in disguise.
63. McDonalds is crap
k ,   US   (06.28.13)
they are doing the people a favor, anyone who can eat that crap needs to see a psychologist
64. There was no McDonalds in Israel until 1993
Jake   (06.29.13)
due to the Arab League boycott of Israel. McDonald's has a long history of caving in to the Arab boycott of Israel as a whole. They shouldn't pretend now like this has anything to do with the "Green Line".
65. Who does more harm to the world? Ariel, or McDonalds?
Jake   (06.28.13)
Ariel has provided jobs and an education to thousands of Arabs. McDonalds provides hightened risk of early death from heart disease, cancer, and diabetes to the "billions and billions served". It competes with Malboro on negative impact to public health. We can only hope that the boycotters of Israel frequent McDonalds now and binge themselves into oblivion.
66. McDonald's
Golani ,   Vineland, USA/Israel   (06.28.13)
I will certainly boycott McDonald's from now on....
67. "'Produced in the region of peace.'????"
Israeli 2   (06.29.13)
No! Proudly Produced in ISRAEL! Mc Dodo is already slipping behind many other competitors. I guess their time has come. If I was leader of Israel, I would kick them out of Israel completely. Israel has simply no cojones.
68. #65

I daresay that McD provides more jobs than Ariel. As for eating junk food, if McD ceases to exist, there will always be another provider of juicy greasy calories ready to take its place. No one is forced to eat a burger at gunpoint, and if done in moderation, no one's health will suffer from the occasional burger and fries. You can't even get a cheeseburger at McDs in Israel, so there goes some of the cholesterol and fat.
