Seriously? What about the many Christians wearing crosses, displaying crosses in their vehicles, what about the Christmas trees in the windows, when have you ever heard of Jewish neighbors attacking anybody for this?
32. my first thought about this was
liz ,   haifa, israel   (07.02.13)
that they are not only jew-haters but also homophobes
33. Under the surface antisemitism...
Raoul ,   Israel   (07.02.13)
so says the Belgian reporter. Sounds very much on the surface to me like the time of the Third Reich. Doesn't get worse than this.

your right about european jews, they will never find peace among europeans but american jews are diffrent, if they leave america and influnce power they have over american political system then all of israel will be in danger
37. #20 "Flemish were Nazis in WW2"
A ,   Belgium   (07.02.13)
As were English, French, Dutch, Bosniers, Danish and just about every other European country. There even, were, and still are, American nazis (obvious by some of the posts here). There is nothing unusual about the Flemish having been nazis, but its wrong to generalize and assume EVERYONE were nazis.

I agree - this is just one side of the story. What does not fly here is the police's refusal to accept the women's complaint. The cops would have pursued the matter if there had been a valid reason to do it. Typically, cops do not side with criminals. These two lesbians might just be whiners.
39. when you let in enough Islamists.....
gays4Israel ,   Toronto   (07.02.13)
you can expect these sort of things. I hope the lawyer can help but they are not safe. Gays and lesbians are not safe in Muslim lands,,,,including England,Belguim

#3 - So let me get it straight - you put the blame of this gruesome attack not on the ruthless antisemitic hooligans, but on Israel's policies? Using your crazy warped logic, every time a Muslim commits an act of terror, then all other Muslims in the world are legitimate targets for retribution. By the way - the attackers were not Palestinians, and not even Arab, but Flemish. How on earth do Israel's policies affect them? This is certainly one of the most idiotic comments I have ever read in this forum. You can still save your reputation by clarifying that your comment was written cynically or jokingly. #38 With your long history of always taking the Jew-haters side in your comments, your automatic siding with the police is not surprising. Though I bet that if the story was about a Polish couple living in Israel and suffering similar abuse and shunned by the police, your comment would have been entirely different. 40 - Another antisemite blaming the victims again. What you say is certainly applicable for Muslims in Europe but certainly not Jews. Jews in the diaspora never "impose" anything on their neighbors, certainly not this couple. They merely hung a small mezuza. How does that justify a brutal attack against them? According to your twisted logic, a Christian who lives in Israel and wears a cross, is similarly a legitimate target for abuse.

" Do you think Israeli leftists are any less racists against haredim ..and Mr.MorON, what about the opposite? Is hilonim trying to run the life of haredim or is it the opposite? Ohh I forgot, You work for God....
45. #6, Have you actually been to the US?
Juha Teuvonnen ,   Boston,MA   (07.02.13)
The law varies from state to state, but I am certain that no one can prevent you from putting a mezuza. I know more than a few American jewish families, and not one has complained about being persecuted for practicing Judaism. Messing with other people's religion is seriously frowned upon in the US. It's just not a part of the culture here. Invading people's homes is very uncommon, unless you live in a slum. Invaders get shot dead, as one it two Americans owns a gun. In most parts of the country (NY, DC and Chicago excluded) you only need a valid driver's license, clean criminal record and 2-3 hundred dollar bills to buy one.
46. Righty.
Philippe ,   Bruxelles   (07.02.13)
What ynet fails to mention is that complaints have been filed by the neighbours against these lesbians as well, and that they (the gay couple) have repeatedly neglected to hand in their testimonies after being asked multiple times. The Belgian one is too ''traumatized'', the Israeli one for some reason even refuses to speak anything but Hebrew. Go figure.
47. Belgium savages

DO NOT BUY BELGIUM PRODUCTS. DO NOT VACATION THERE. TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW OR YOU ARE IN CONTACT WITH NOT TO BUY BELGIUM.

a woman wearing a full burkah in public in belgium....is that an in your face attitude as well? i just wonder.
50. #6 - boy, are you confused
elke ,   usa   (07.02.13)
1. SOME multi-dwelling housing, i.e., condominiums and townhouse associations, have rules against displays of flags or any other exterior decoration -- but it is applied uniformly. This does not constitute "discrimination" and Jews are free to live in single family homes where no such rules apply. 2. The celebration of Christmas, a Christian holiday, does not constitute "idolatry" except in your mind. Jews are quite free to celebrate Passover, etc. Christians, Hindus and Moslems don't refer to those Jewish holy days as "idolatry." Really. 3. The argument among Jews as to who is "Jewish enough" is indeed a problem that the Jewish community must solve. There is no "persecution" of Jews by Christians or Muslims in the US -- Herodim are part of YOUR community and your cross to bear :~).

can you enlighten us and tell us: 1. how those two females did not blend in? 2. how did these two females enforce and impose their customs on others in the building 3. by the way, they were not allowed to live there. they lived there because one was born there and the other was a full fledged belgian citizen 4. how and when did these two females re arrange someone else's furniture or imposed themselves in any way on their neighbors and how, if at all? 5. then we can talk about other cultures and nationalities in europe who come from third world countries and contribute zero to the economy and society and how they all impose 100% their culture on the innocent belgian and european population. does a woman with a burqa, with a husband where she is the 4th wife (illegal in europe) and with 8 children all living on government handouts...is she not imposing her customs on the belgian society? will be interesting to see your answer to that...or is it only jews and their habits you oppose? hameed aboughaze, a sane iranian muslim

No. I never stated that complaints where filed BECAUSE these people are lesbian. It was filed at Lesbians nonetheless. Not all of them are nice people.

One of the women was from Belgium. It darn well is her country.
59. 55. Split.
Philippe ,   Bruxelles   (07.02.13)
I doubt the authorities will do so, there is no reason to. Authorities have no knowledge or interest in whatever Rebbe. What happened here is that both ladies made a nuisance of themselves, then gathered in police. As it stands now, the prosecutors office in Antwerp has taken interest beyond their expectation, and since now this case stands to be administered at a magistrates level (and thus punitive if false), these ladies are not at all that interested anymore in handing their testimonies over to authorities. They flatly refuse to do so. One is too traumathised and the other only wants to register hers in Hebrew, which cannot be processed, under law. see a pattern?
