31. # 28 Those "handouts" are a small percentage...
(07.03.13)
...of the 300-400 Billion US Dollars that Germany has stolen from the Jews during WW2 and the Holocaust. Germany has only repaid a small percentage of what it has stolen from the Jews. Germany owes Israel and not vice versa.

Why is it that Hamas gets to use rockets that cost less than 1000 dollars, while Israel is forced to use rockets that cost over 50 000 dollars each? Yes innocent palestinians are getting killed, but thats because Hamas makes sure they are in the middle of the crossfire. the problem with these caricatures is that it dehumanizes us, and you actually believe we kill civilians on purpose because of it. Just look at your comment! You don't need proof, you just blindly believe it. We need those expensive rockets so we can pinpoint and accurately take out Hamas rocket launchers to defend our civilians. How is it our fault when Hamas launches rockets from palestinians roofs? Are we supposed to sacrifice our civilians to save yours? Think about it? In a world where Israel is A Saint, and never fires back because there is a risk that palestinians might get caught in a cross fire. In this world, Hamas ONLY fires from places Israel can't fire back because of potential civilian casualties. Israel would be gone in a month! I know people like you don't believe me, and that is the war we are losing unfortunately . But if we didn't get help from countries like Germany and the U. S., we would have to use cheaper and less accurate rockets that would result in much greater Palestinian deaths! the Whole reason behind iron dome, was our protection along with allowing us to ignore Hamas rockets without having to fire back. ISRAEL tries really hard. It's too bad you are too racist or ignorant to see that.

It's only freedom of expression as long as mohommed isn't involved, right?
34. Israeli hypocrisy
Commentator   (07.03.13)
You people act as if Germany is the only country in the world with anti-Israeli newspapers... even Israel has newspapers like Haaretz and organizations like B'Tselem that are about as anti-Israel as this newspaper from Germany if not worse. But that is not important because we are talking about the Germans here right? FYI, Germany is the best friend of Israel in Europe. Germany provided Israel with world class submarines and other pieces of military hardware almost for free! But here you are waiting for an excuse to bash Germany. It's enough for you to see one negative thing coming from Germany and for you it already means they are all Nazis. Pathetic, but I'm not surprised. Anti-German bias and hatred are well and alive in Israel.
35. HELLO REALITY CHECK: Did anyone care to read the captions?
Boreme ,   Sin City   (07.03.13)
No, well, that´s too bad. Maybe someone in Ynet should get one of Ze Germans to read it out to them and put it into context. Just a suggestion.
36. To be expected.
jsm   (07.03.13)
Really.
37. actually #22, it resembles Mohamed!! Dont
Benjy   (07.03.13)
you think so.....
38. Augstein again
(07.03.13)
The responsible editor is Franziska Augstein, sister of Jakob Augstein, both well-known crackpots in German journalism, the latter wrote anti-Semitic remarks as well - it's in the family. According to the Jewish newspaper "Jüdische Allgemeine" the caricature was taken out of the archive and wasn't drawn in any context with Jews or Israel. The cartoon was originally published in a cooking magazine.

No one has criticised judaism or its prophets. If that happened, I would stand shoulder to shoulder with you to condemn it. The criticism of a state is fair game. You can say what you want about saudia arabia as a country but the line has to be drawn at religion.
40. just one thing more
mehrdad ,   germany   (07.03.13)
wanted to just add a single line: a country which killed around 65% of the worlds jewish population until 1945 has lost any right to critisize jews or israel. every time it comes to israel this country and their german antisemits should shut up their mouth.

There is no image of our prophet so you cant compare, its.just your evil personality coming to.light but you have to agree it does lool like sharon.
42. #1...YOU ARE 100 % RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.04.13)
I live in Germany and I FULLY support your statement !
43. <"misunderstandings" caused by the caption>
(07.04.13)
The caption says that Israel is seen as a Moloch by its *enemies*. So the cartoon is supposed to show Israel in the eyes of Hamas etc., not in the ones of the newspaper.
44. #1 "G-d fearing Jews"
(07.04.13)
You mean, like you?
45. #41 Doesn't "lool" like Sharon
Benji ,   US   (07.04.13)
Does resemble Walid Maullum from Assad's cabinet.
46. Instead of kvetching...
AY ,   Amerike   (07.04.13)
draw a cartoon, where the Zudeutsche Zeitung's cartoon artist is depicted as a former employee of Der Stuermer, with a line underneath that says "Some think Zuddeutsche Zeitung is borrowing polemics from the Nazis." I think that message would have been quite clear.
47. Moloch
observer13 ,   Toronto   (07.04.13)
Maybe if there was a price to pay, such as a "Fatwa" issued on some of this Nazi leftist monster, they would reconsider publishing their anti-Semitic garbage
48. Perfect Description for 22
Claude ,   London   (07.04.13)
Actually the description of the Fraulein in the cartoon was also unflattering, but the breakfast tray looked good. I wonder what a cartoon character of a holy warrior would look like. A Galloway lookalike dressed as a cat with a big cigar. YUK
49. I love this cartoon
Bob Cassidy   (07.04.13)
Art imitating life!
50. Well, well, well...Freedom of speech anyone?
Mark Shroeder ,   Germany   (07.04.13)
When Caricature demeaning Islam's prophet was published, you people barked freedom of speech and/or expression. Could any of you idiots explain to me why does a caricature exposing Israel for what it really is, NOT fall under the category of freedom of speech?
51. God bless Germany and Germans...
Marco ,   Spain-World Champs..   (07.04.13)
52. great cartoon!
A   (07.04.13)
a true depiction of the racist apartheid state of israel
53. #50: Süddeutsche and Freedom of Speech
Igor ,   Germany   (07.05.13)
Interestingly, the Süddeutsche Zeitung didn't dare publishing ONE SINGLE Mohammad cartoon. So much about "freedom of speech". But the analogy with the Mohammad cartoons is a wrong one, anyway: 1. Muslims ARE suspiciously frequently involved in acts of violence. On the other hand, Judaism, with its prohibition of a human sacrifice, is the DIRECT OPPOSITE of a Moloch. 2. The "Jewish Moloch" cartoon recycles centuries-old antisemitic clichees. Millions of Jews have been tortured and killed because of them. On the other hand, the only victims caused by Mohammad cartoons were those killed by Moslems themselves.
54. Igor#53
Bob Cassidy   (07.06.13)
Re your point#1: Are you telling us that the IDF do not perpetrate deliberate bloody acts of violence against civilians? Laser guided bombs dropped on homes killing families for one, and emptying a pistol into the head of a 12 year old girl is another. There are hundreds of thousands of examples like these 2 Igor.
55. #54 Provide facts Bob
Benji ,   US   (07.06.13)
When did the IDF perpetrate these deliberate acts of violence against civilians and name the 12 year old girl and the date of this incident? There have been thousands of terror attacks against Israeli civilians by Palestinians.
56. Anti Semitic drawings?
Noevil9 ,   US   (07.09.13)
You and your likes are the reason why Israel is depicted this way. Off course the daily crimes help too.
