1. Despicable Acts
emanon ,   USA   (07.03.13)
I was going to quantify just how how despicable these acts are, but there are no words. This is just another example of how the arab world views women: no legal standing for the woman, no one believes the woman and the men blame the women. Listen to the one guy who says they are pushed to do it by the way the women walk, dress and look. Women are not to blame for this, they are he victims. The assailants are to blame!
2. It will get worse there.
No doubt   (07.03.13)
3. Sure, women are not to be blamed..
Beary White ,   Norway   (07.03.13)
The threatment of women of islam, comes from the dark ideology, brainwashed through hundreds of years. Today, some people would even say the islamic ideology is in-human in many ways.
4. Egyptian women
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (07.03.13)
i express my most heartfelt solidarity with the women of egypt who are subject to unspeakable violence at the hands of men who should be protecting them rather than abusing them. women are the mothers and daughters of these thugs. men who disrespect women and sexually abuse them are weak, without a soul.
5. Imagine the riots if a settler raped a Palestinian girl
Tahl   (07.03.13)
The whole Arab world would be up in arms, millions rioting on the streets, foaming at the mouth and calling death to Israel. All the Arab newspapers would show horrible caricatures depicting the Jews as monsters. Fortunately, such a case never happens. But when Muslims rape their own women (and certainly when they rape foreign women), well that's acceptable according to Islam - merely taking example from their prophet.
6. until one of the women pulls out a Glock and blows away
Rafi ,   US   (07.03.13)
the perpetrators, these crimes will likely continue...
7. Arab comments on women treatment please
Roland Seener ,   London England   (07.03.13)
8. no surprise here
alsky ,   Toronto   (07.03.13)
we are witnessing -once again- Islam at its finest. Will they ever progress ?
9. What the hell were women doing in that square putting
Rivkah   (07.03.13)
themselves in danger? It is bad enough when women are careful and are attacked in their homes or inspite of being careful. But to deliberately expose themselves to dangers such as mobs where animalism infects males to do horrible things is not a place a decent woman would go. Any employer who sends a woman into such danger should be charged with a crime of endangering their employees deliberately. Vengeance is YHWH's. He will repay. No rape goes unpunished and usually the punishment is the eternal separation from YHWH for the rapist unless he provides for his victim and any child that is conceived for the woman's lifetime and until adulthood of the child.
10. Since when have women had rights in
benjy   (07.03.13)
islamic countries? name one!!
11. @9: Shame On You Rivkah!
emanon ,   USA   (07.03.13)
These women were trying to satnd up for their rights. Stnf by your sisters, don;t accuse them! Your accusation puts you squarely in the Taliban camp regarding women's rights. Come to think of it, from what I read there's a very this veil between Taliban and Charediem in this regard anyway. Just which side are you on: the side of Life or the side of Death?
12. What a sick country
NudNik69   (07.04.13)
Unbelievable. They can change their 'president' but can they change their ways? It shows women are worth nothing to them.
13. The Arab world needs to progress. FAST
(07.04.13)
All the relations in the family in the Arab world are unbelievably unjust and male dominant. The man is the ruler in the home. Most women don't work so depend totally on their husbands for livelihood. The children are brought up that males are more valuable than female. The rules of the jungle prevail - the strongest (i.e. males) take by force the power and abuse the weak (women). In addition, there are no free and open relations between the sexes. No dating. The Arab men are crazy with sexual frustration. Everything is so distorted. It's just that the whole society is so backward and not just towards women. I don't know how it will change because the distortion is in the level of the culture, mentality, upbringing. And there are so may Egyptians. How can you change the psyche of a nation of so many people?
14. 11 Emanon, USA: I am on the side of the Song of Moses and
Rivkah   (07.04.13)
the Song of the Lamb, the Torah and Tanakh and the Renewed Covenant. Sounds like you are not in that narrow path to eternal life.
15. i'am with rivkah
algerian girl ,   tipaza ; algeria   (07.04.13)

16. Where is Alice Walker, Roger Waters and Elvis Costello
Lisa Epstein   (07.04.13)
Ooooooooops this don't fit their anti Israeli propaganda.
17. @Rivkah and Algerian Girl Shame on you.
Natasha Sepehri ,   Portland USA   (07.04.13)
Women voicing their opinion and protesting is what they were doing. The journalist was obviously working. These men are to blame, never the women, even if they were all walking around in a bikinis. IT IS NEVER OKAY TO RAPE A WOMEN. EVER. No matter what the circumstances. These men are to blame and that's it. You two making it seem like the women was somehow should have known better is disturbing. The men are the problem, they need to learn self control and restraint. Learn that they can't treat people like that. That it is not acceptable no matter what the case. Instead you say the women should have known better. Sad, so very sad.
18. #15 Algerian Girl
Vlad   (07.04.13)
How about Algeria? Is it better there where you come from? Oh, and why are you following an Israeli news site? Just curious.
19. #9&11 Rivkah
Malone ,   Hfx   (07.04.13)
I really think you're not all there.
20. Thank you President Obama
Norm L Jew ,   Galut   (07.04.13)
Thank you President Obama and the EU leaders for pressing Israel to make more and more concessions to these miscreants! If societies such as Egypt hold their precious daughters in such contempt that they rape them, how do you expect them to regard "dhimmi's" like the people of Israel? The answer is too obvious.
21. Roger Waters, Alice Walker, and Costello.
James McKinlay ,   Israel   (07.04.13)
Roger Waters and all the other Do Gooder's will not say a word unless Israel is Involved, antisemitism is rampant among waters and his kind so don't expect them to say or do anything.
22. natasha
algerian girl ,   tipaza ; algeria   (07.04.13)
i said india and egypt; wear a bikini and go there ; you will see what will happen to you ; you must be realist ; for example i can't go to afganistan and screaming in front of taliban members "i'am an secular muslim " they will absoletly cut my head off
23. #20
Josh ,   Tel Aviv   (07.04.13)
Miscreants really.Let them learn from Israel. Here are some facts,1)according to the latest statistics from the Association of Rape Crisis centers in Israel one in every three women in Israel has been raped or sexually assaulted.2)Former President Moshe Katsav is currently serving a seven-year prison term for raping, sexually abusing and harassing three women.3)ex-Justice Minister Haim Ramon was convicted of sexual harassment.4)Tel Aviv District Court Judge Nissim Yeshaya said in court two weeks ago while discussing the case of a young woman who was gang-raped at 13 that “some girls enjoy being raped.5)indictments for sex crimes in Israel’s military doubled in 2012.Another case of the the kettle calling the pot black.........
24. # 16 A real shame they weren't in the crowd
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!! ,   United States   (07.04.13)
Wouldn't you love to have Alice Walker raped in Cairo? Roger Waters, and Elvis Costello probably are for rape as they say noting to defend the women who were savagely raped. And, where are the reporters who published their hateful remarks re: Israel while remaining silent about women's right in Islam, which are non existent.?????
