You are 100% wrong. The settlements in Gush Katif were done by the Labor Govt in the early 1970's, starting with Kfar Darom - which actually was first settled in 1946 - two years before Israel was re-established in the Land. There were 21 settlements all legal. These people were the cream of the crop and brought only inspiration and life to anyone who ever knew or met them. Read again what the Brig.Gen. said. The gerush dragged the entire country down that hole, and we have never recovered from it...especially the IDF.

are the direct result of the deranged behavior of the disengagement. The Jews showed the world how to treat Jews.

settlers of Gush Katif. In fact, a younger Ariel Sharon was their best cheerleader. Brush up on your 1970s facts. You've allowed your mind to be poisoned. Not only didn't they do anything illegal, they were illegally pulled out. In the last fifty years, the only country in the world that has kicked Jews out of their homes because they are Jews has been Israel.
34. rm #24: Not to go all preachy on you....
Steve   (07.10.13)
You say God does "not do land." Have you read the Bible? Have you read the book of Genesis? Gen 12:7 The LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." (Canaan; today Israel) Gen 13:14 The LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, "Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. Why do people say God does not do (or care about) land?
35. #26. Ultimately Israel will retake ALL our abandoned lands.

It is becoming ever more obvious to sane Israelis that every single Israeli retreat was an absolute disaster. Ultimately Israel will retake all our abandoned lands.
36. A word of comfort and forgiveness...

Mr Ben Ishay, Hashem does not keep a record of those sins you have repented from. He is a God of mercy, and He has promised to heal our wounds. Though you did sin when you expelled your brothers from the land of Israel, so did all those who remained silent when this sin was commited. Hashem has promised to heal our wounds, and He will heal yours. If you, Adonai, kept a record of sins, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. Tehilim 130:3-4 Seek Adonai while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to Adonai, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. Yeshayahu 55:7

i visited gush katif, met people there, had shabbats there. such a beautiful part of israel. fabulous people. went to the protests. walked around jerusalem in orange clothes - thought it would somehow be stopped.some miracle.cried watching the tv as it did happen. went to the kotel to see the people come ,held young girls crying their hearts out, while all the others there did the same.hugs and tears. i will never forgive.never. it was horrendous, we will take back all our land and god will take away our rotten rotten rotten corrupt leadership before they will get rid of all of us. and if not stopped, they will do just that.
