1. General Salim Idris: the problem is with whom do
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (07.16.13)
the authorities believe. Rebels can turn into al-quada with snap of fingers in that Syrian goulash. And I can't get out of my mind the American Indian saying about white people - "they speak with forked tongue".
2. Why is the West responsibility? What of the rich Arab
(07.16.13)
"Brothers" ? The rebels are Islamic extremists and will turn on the West and her allies one day, why should the West arm them? Democracy is not just a ballot box and a vote but a whole system of goverment. Where are a lot the Arab brothers help in this? Does the west have to pick up the pieces, provide humanitarian aid, have all the sympathy and care while the Arab world does nothing. In the end what happens the West is blamed for not doing something or doing something while the Arab world takes no responsibility at all......
3. This is news to me, is it true?
Mark ,   London, UK   (07.16.13)
If so, it is an amazing response to overwhelming public opinion which gasped in amazement and horror that UK was prepared to provide any lethal weaponry to a rag tag and bobtail of rebels who cannot form a united front. If this man wants to know who to blame it is those who have failed to disentangle the insurrection from the islamofascits. Such people form the least desirable outcome.
4. Syria's top rebel commander has accused David Cameron
KK   (07.16.13)
I say good for Britain for a change. Those rebels are no better than the boss Assad. Two of kind but at lease one would admit :Assad better not be toppled as far Israel is concered: i.e The devil we know.
5. shut up and fight
real vision ,   usa   (07.16.13)
get out of your suit and fight for what you believe and stop thinking that the west should solve your problem....Typical muslim always blaming the west and not accepting responsibility. You don't start a war unless you have an idea you can win
6. The UK, Eu, US etc are busy with decisions
Rachel   (07.16.13)
of boycotting Israel, israeli products, what Israel can do or not can do. They are not interested in helping the Syrian people. It is not the first time in history Brittain does the opposit of promised.
7. #6 true not the first time
Justjams ,   Jerusalem   (07.16.13)
Israels existence breaks another promise made by the British.
8. the sad thing
daniela   (07.17.13)
Is to see the EU double standard. For them empathizing with oppressed people is to complain about Yehuda and Shomron and the " poor palestinians" and to give away billions of euros to Hamas in Gaza. The same Hamas that has vowed to throw the jews to the sea. But when we are talking about thousands of children, women and syrian men then the sympaty and humanity had left the EU. So.. maybe there are double standards in all those moral and ethical values the EU has
9. Not enough aid from Qatar?
American Hindu ,   USA   (07.21.13)
Nation in the oil rich nations have given MILLIONS to help the Syrian opposition. Why ask the Western taxpayer for help? We are in deep debt and want our hard earned monies spent on our development, not to kill people in Syria.
