1. European Union
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (07.16.13)
We should clearly state that this is an antisemitic desicion that comes from the panic europe has from muslims. This is the story of the fall of Rome all over again.
2. As long as we have people like Ofir Akunis
Israeli 2   (07.16.13)
who mean what they say, the EU may talk their BS!
3. Thank you very much EU
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.16.13)
You just buried yourselves. I will enjoy watching the devastation.
4. Bypass EU ban as much as possible!
Johannes ,   Norway   (07.16.13)
Good substitutes for leftist EU would be friendly states like Taiwan and South Korea!
5. So, they will naturally follow up by banning contracts with
Zvi   (07.16.13)
* Chinese occupied Tibet * Nagorno Karabakh * Abkhazia * South Ossetia * Russian occupied Chechnya * Palestinian occupied Hebron * Hezbollah, which occupies Lebanon in Iran's name * Russian occupied Kaliningrad (Konigsberg) * The British occupied Malvinas Islands * Northern Ireland * Russian occupied Kuril Islands * the disputed Korean peninsula * Iran, an organization that sponsors terror attacks in European countries via Hezbollah .... Right? No? There's a word for that kind of anti-Jewish double standard.
6. I am very proud to be European today
Non jewish Immigrant ,   Haifa   (07.16.13)
7. Zvi, you are obviously ignorant
(07.16.13)
the European Parlement has already ban imports from Iran!!!
8. This directive looks like bullying
Geula ,   Israel   (07.16.13)
If the member states do not comply with this order what are they going to do - shot them or exclude from the EU, taking away the right to pay huge amount of money as membership fee? Such orders cannot take place in any kind of union, it seems more suitable to a firing squad.
9. The EU decision contradicts international law, bilateral and
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.16.13)
multilateral agreements in place, and a simple common sense. Legally, based on League of Nations decisions of 1922, and based on UN Charter, article 80, 1945, Jews may settle anywhere between the Jordan River and the Med. Sea, within "the national home for the Jewish people", attempted to be violated by the EU. It was based on this legal ground that the parties accepted UN Security Council Resolution, 242, 1967 as the basis for all peace talks; trying to resolve the status of the DISPUTED TERRITORIES. And, the 1995 Interim Agreement is one such bilateral agreement, which this decision violates. Furthermore, if the territories are in dispute, why impose certain restrictions on one party and not on both...?? And, what makes the EU think that we, Jews, will bow down and be led to the European slaughter house, again, like sheep...?? Never Again!!
10. Oh, just go ahead ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.16.13)
... and annex Judea and Samaria already. And cut off exports of natural gas to the European Union. Let's see how cheaply the bankrupt -- morally and fiscally -- European Union can make up the slack. I guess it wasn't enough for Europe to be complicit abettors and willing participants in the slaughter of six million Jews. They want more. The death throes of a dying continent. Not at Israel's expense!
11. "Abraham's Inheritence"
Felix Rosen ,   Mannhattan, N.Y.   (07.16.13)
The Church of Scotland made this oh so clear as to the human rights violations of the Palestinians and just any non Jew not being able to reside in these Jewish exclusive settlements,,, Judea and Samaria is not these peoples ancestral homeland, it is an unsolved trampled on crime scene of the ancient world, the world of a Hebrew peoples and the sooner these peoples, these converted Jews(no pun) get this in their heads we may have some PEACE. A major Commandment "Thou Shall not Covet" is broken by these peoples hourly, every second, daily by this insatiable coveting of land but no Peace, which is G-d's name. Jews for Jesus, "Lets have some Peace" before we pass this plane of existence.
12. Exports of natural gas to EU
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.16.13)
If these new EU laws pass then damn right we should cut off all exports of natural gas to the EU. Screw them...
13. EU Ban
Jacob ,   Miami   (07.16.13)
Not a surprise coming from a continent that was historically the most antisemitic antisemitic one and is currently becoming the second continent with the highest number of Arab citizens.
14. There's no place for illegal occupation in 2013
(07.16.13)
Kol Hakavod to the EU!!!
15. There's no other Anti Semitic organization than the EU
Rotem ,   Israel   (07.16.13)
There's no other organization which is so disconnected from reality, choose to keep it's eyes shut , rather then face the truth, so coward, so hypocrite, so disgusting and soooo Antisemitic, than the European Union. This organization is not only putting Jews all over the world in danger, but the entire European citizens as well (though they afraid to admit that). Yes, they do know about Israel history. Yes, they know who their dear "Palestinians" really are, yes, they remember that many European states still occupy other people's land (for real), but yet - they act as they act. What do they want? - To establish an Muslim-Arab state in a place which has been called Judea, for the past few thousand years...
16. EU ban exports from beyond '67 lines
Raffy ,   Leeds UK   (07.16.13)
... and will this ban include Christianity? Jesus, it is claimed, was born in Bethlehem.
17. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.16.13)
Well, then! The United States had better start withdrawing to 1607 lines. It is, after all, illegally occupying native American territories. The same for Canada, Australia and quite a few other nations. Unlike those nations, however, Israel simply reacquired Judea and Samaria in the course of fighting a DEFENSIVE war against Jordan. Judea and Samaria are nonsovereign territories. Israel is free to settle, retain and even annex those territories. Upon which great day, all of its illegal Arab squatters will be repatriated to Jordan, country of their citizenship. You cannot have one set of laws which apply exclusively to Israel and another set of laws which apply to every other nation. Don't you know anything?
18. #14: So why is China exempt? Tibet is OCCUPIED!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (07.16.13)
Double standards again!
19. peace now = offical traitors
(07.16.13)
20. #1
(07.16.13)
Actually, I agree with this EU decision and I don't feel any panic from Muslims or any antisemitism. So there must be something wrong with the theories people like you keep deluding themselves with.
21.  14. No place for illegal occupation in 2013
Tambour ,   Eilat   (07.16.13)
Agreed Get the palestinians back to where they came from
22. Jerusalem light rail
Raphael ,   Netanya   (07.16.13)
Is operated by the french based Veolia Transport -whose main know how is bribing the authorities so as to get juicy regulated operation agreements. A good reason to cancel it.
23. It's time for Bibi to show he has testicles.
Jerusalem Jew ,   Jerusalem   (07.16.13)
This is a very clear-cut situation and Netanyahu should retort immediately with the following: (1) A total stop to any EU say in the peace process (or whatever is left of it). (2) Demand a quid-pro-quo from Europe: no agreements with Europe until all EU members get rid of all their colonies and dependent territories. (3) No Israeli gas to Europe, until the EU members get rid of all their colonies and dependent territories. (4) An immediate stop to Israeli intelligence flowing to the EU until further notice. But, oops, I forgot who our PM is. He'll never do that.
24. EU, re-ignites the chill of 1939
Nick Dalgety ,   New Zealand   (07.16.13)
if businesses in Judea and Samaria clearly show that their products come from there, I will go out of my way to buy them. I hope this EU decision backfires on them big time. Long live Israel!
25. FORGET EUROPE - go for Asia
Sheba Leah ,   Ashdod Israel   (07.16.13)
We know the Europeans, unfortunately. Go for trade with the billions in Asia instead. The European input into trade will then be piffling. Who needs them?
26. Not even the State of Israel
Avi ,   Tel Aviv   (07.16.13)
recognizes the West Bank as part of the country, so why should the EU.
27. delusional israelis
sharon ,   israel   (07.16.13)
I find these talkbacks really unbelievable. do you people live on another planet? nobody in the world (including at least half of Israelis)accepts israel's occupation of the west bank. what is so hard to understand???
28. Bleating antisemitism again.......
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (07.16.13)
To all the idiots who define this as 'antisemitism', it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with antisemitism. It is a logical sanction against a government which refuses to promote the peace process and abide by international standards. You should be thanking the EU that this sanction applies only to the territories because it is also de facto granting official recognition to Israel within the green line.
29. #12 Dror: The EU gets gas from the North Sea and Russia!
David ,   The Galilee   (07.16.13)
While I agree with you in principle and that the EU is pro-Arab and Muslim, we don't believe in boycotts. This is illustrated by the thousands of Israel who flock to the Muslim Fundamentalist Sate of Turkey whre everything is included, including hatred of Israel! Also, just look at how many EU cars we have on our roads. The world and particularly the EU bashes Israel constantly but ignore the abominable human rights records of China, Russia, the Ukraine, an EU member, and so many others! Its a shame that Baroness Ashton of the Hate Israel League doesn't call on the Palestinians to hold "free and fair" elections so Israel will have a legitimate "partner" to negotiate with. As for Minister Ariel's comment, he is not wrong but what did he expect from a continent that stood by and watched 6 million Jews get slaughtered?
30. #9 Jehuda: You are right.
David ,   Israel   (07.16.13)
The German Government forced Deutsche Bahn (German Railways) to pull out of the contract to build the high speed railway line to Jerusalem because of Palestinian pressure. What I don't understand is why the Israeli Government allows Palestinians to work in Israel and why the Settlers employ them? Maybe Minister Ariel could give us the answer?
