1. So....King David is not fiction?

2. split where are you?
(07.19.13)
There is "no visual proof" of ancient Israel? REALLY??? Either split is a mythomaniac of the highest order or he needs to go to an optician. To the EU: why can't we find "Palestinan" palaces in Jerusalem? Hmm?
3. the Bible is true after all
Anna ,   Krakow, Poland   (07.19.13)
King David's Palace shows that Jews are the real historical population of Israel and Jerusalem and not the Arabs. This archaeological find only strengthens my Catholic faith. God Bless Israel!
4. Great news! Only wish EU would respect our Jewish history!

I never had a doubt that Jerusalem and the entire Land of Israel belong to the Jews. That's a simple historical fact. It's mindboggling that Israel even negotiates with the Arabs about Israel's borders. If Israel's leadership had any balls they would reject all Arab claims to every square inch of Israel on both sides of river Jordan and send back the Arabs to Arabia.
6. #2, He couldn't handle the truth...so he split.

7. This article is all nonsense.
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.21.13)
Public buildings found during the time of David does not mean these were "royal palaces" of David. There is no evidence that King David or King Solomon ever existed. No manuscripts, no monuments, nothing from them directly. It's all myth to go along with their kingdom that was suppose to extend to the Euphrates river. And just listen to the comments. Blind fools! They want to believe in lies.
8. Torah...David slew Goliath a Philistine, a Palestinian

How depressing that such fascinating archaeological finds are used by talkbackers for ideological purposes. The major goal of those scientists involved in these investigations is to add to the stock of human knowledge. I am sure there will be continuing debates and diverse interpretations of what has been found. That is how understanding is advanced. But, as always, nationalist trumpet-blowing is more important.

12. David's palace
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (07.21.13)
Yes, it's likely for real, and yes, it proves that there once was an Israelite state or kingdom "back in the day", assigned to the Land by God Himself. But the Hebrews flouted God's Word several times too often. Thus, the Hebrew/Judean claims to the Holy Land were annulled, and this annulment was sealed through the Presence, Ministry, and Passion of Christ Jesus and the establishment of the New Testament/Covenant. The Israelite kingdom was real, OK, but since the time of Jesus, any claim to its reestablishment is invalid.
13. #7 questioning Jewish history does not confirm Arab claims
Gunnar Liljekvist ,   Sweden   (07.21.13)
To question history is good if it's done for scientific purposes and not for ideological and political purposes. Somehow I do not believe that you question ancient Israel out of a purely scientific reason. Interestingly Israel haters never provide a single shred of evidence for a so called "Palestinian" people. Attacking Israel's very old and ancient history does not produce a single atom of evidence for a "Palestinian" people. Instead of attacking Israel, find evidence that a "Palestinian" people existed and that Arab and Moslem history "predated" Israelite history. You don't fool anyone.

15. Beware of Reverse engineering
L.R. ,   NY   (08.14.13)
“This is unequivocal evidence of a kingdom’s existence, which knew to establish administrative centers at strategic points”, the archaeologists say.""" "A kingdom" doesn't mean David's Kingdom! And if such a thing as David's kingdom were to be found, than it would refer to the Sumerian, Akkadian god Enki. And if the sphinx is part of the " palace" then we are back in Ancient Egypt. Canaan/Israel ( the mental children of Isis_Ra_El) is the crossroad between Africa, Mesopotamia, Greece or in Biblical Speech "the crossroad between Ham, Shem,Japheth." Xianity/IHS the mental children of Isis_Horus_Set) and Islam (mental children of mishmash of all Mishmash) are both, a production based on fiction and reverse engineering, It would be detrimental if Israel would walk on that road and deceive humanity. Turning Tribal Oral Laws into a religion is one thing, to deceive and exploit as xianity and Islam do is quite another thing.
16. Denying Artifacts is non-sense
David ,   LA   (09.10.13)
Yeshua son of David confirmed King David's existence and claimed direct lineage from his family. To deny the Messiah son of David is to be Anti- historical.
