3. Nice first step
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.26.13)
Next ban all EU funded "NGOs" from Israel.
4. EU
Daniel ,   Netherlands   (07.26.13)
It is a vital strategic importance to reduce any links to the EU beyond the normal trade. Also, the funding from EU to anti-Zionist organizations in Israel should be stopped completely. Spain will not react in a friendly way if i fund an independence nationalistic movement in Basque land or Catalunya
5. Oh, good... EU will laugh
John ,   Europe   (07.26.13)
This will make life miserable of up to 100 EU staff on the field. EU decision will hurt several hundred firms and many tens of thousands Palestinians, as well many thousands Israelis. Money damage - Israelis. Almost exclusively. Through business loss. Hmmm...
6. yaalon a breath of fresh air
alexi   (07.26.13)
yaalon is a steady hand, not triggerhappy but more than willing to do battle and israel is in good hands with him. bennett, feigllin, lapid should run for the leadership along with lieberman as soon as possible. Bibi has to go, his weakness approaches olmert, livni is a scared rabbit, labour is noth ing, meretz less than nothing, shas are asskissers. israel needs new soveriegn leadership not the weaklings of the past who are humiliating israel from peres, barak, olmert, and bibi 2 x. israel should want better. And it means saying to obama and kerry, no regardless if you want to sanction us. Not like bibi who says oh my god we cannot turn down obama. This is a chosen person!!!??
7. Agree #4
Beary White ,   Norway   (07.26.13)
..Agree, every funding to NGO's must be stopped.. And the horse of Catherine Ashton must be whipped...:-)

they are from the part of Europe that has no sense of humor, no sense of right or wrong and no common sense! they are from the same part of Europe that you are from.
12. #5 what you do not understand
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.26.13)
Unlike you Eurotrash we do not worship money. Better to be intelligent, poor and free than stupid, rich and enslaved like the Eurotrash. We worked for our sovereignty for 2,000 years and we refuse to surrender to you
13. Well done . .
Mike ,   NZ   (07.26.13)
Finally Israel draws a line in the sand in regards to the EU. It is time for those murdering bastards to understand that unlike last time, this time we wont go quietly to the gas chambers. Personaly I would suspend all ties with the E.U. and kick their backsides out of Israel. Might be time to withdraw all rights to Israeli tech ... Oh shame, they might have to resort to writing letters again instead of using their cellphones . . and as for Israeli gas, well thats another story. Oh how my heart bleeds for them !!
14. Of course the EU is biased
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.26.13)
They believe that land theft for building settlements is illegal and they are quite right.
15. excellent first step
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (07.26.13)
it is to be hoped that Israel will continue to reduce relations with the europeans to the bare minimum.
16. Let Europe bacame a caliphate faster
bb   (07.26.13)
Put it clear,Israel must stop all cooperation with europeans with inteligence issues. How did they found hezzbolah ring? Israel must turn to CHINA, India, South Korea and others in Asia. Dont waste time with anti semitic europeu.
17. Giulio Meotti has the solution to E.U. racist boycott.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.26.13)
Italian journalist Giulio Meotti has the solution Israel should adopt in response to the despicable racist E.U. boycott. Pulling Israeli patents is only one such action. It would pull much of E.U. economic life to a standstill.
18. to #5 John in europe
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (07.26.13)
let's talk about economic losses. Whats in the card is the migration of ethnic-hebrew upper-middle-class folk from Europe, possibly to Israel. They will be replaced by Pakistanis and (hopefully) Arabic-speaking occupationist colonizers of Judea & Samaria. Let's look at this again in 20 years and see who took the bigger economic loss.
19. Israel needs friends, it hasn't many. It can't
David. ,   New York   (07.26.13)
Spend it's days fobbing off friends; friends with billions of euro of trade agreements with Israel. Don't be arrogant, Ya'alon. You're a guy in a second/third world country with a mediocre economy and verging on corrupt government, don't talk to the big boy countries like you're something they should actuallly be concerned about- as well as - financially.
20. #5 It's not about money
Dov ,   USA   (07.26.13)
21. The EU
Etienne Prinsloo ,   Nova Scotia Canada   (07.26.13)
High time! What has all the cooperation with liberal Europe done for Israel? It has merely strengthened their desire to do Islam's bidding to aid in the eventual destruction of Israel. They compromise Israel at every possible opportunity but expect to be treated like royalty when in Israel. By constantly compromising Israel Europe is in agreement with the arab states calling for the anihalation of the state of Israel. Interesting how liberal Europe's interpretation of "human rights" is totally one sided.
22. Yaalon
dan ,   Los Angeles USA   (07.26.13)
If the EU is going to threaten Israel's economic interests, we should threaten the economic interests of the EU. All who love Israel should referain from buying EU manufactured goods and visiting EU member countries.
23. Hell with EU "funding", just return stolen Holocaust assets
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (07.26.13)
EU states still hold $2 trillion worth of stolen Holocaust victim assets they retain and refuse to give back. "Funding"? Hell, they are paying us with our own money! It is amazing (and nauseating) that EU countries that have returned only 6% (six percent) of what they stole from Europes Jews, including land and real estate greater in area and value than the entire "West Bank", somehow think they are entitled to demand that Israel "return" 100% of captured territory to Arabs who never owned any of it in the first place. Britain, for example, had no such problem recognizing Trans-Jordan's annexation of the entire "West Bank" when they seized it, including the internationalized Eastern Jerusalem sector , using its Security Council veto to block UN action to force the removal of its Jordanian allies. When Britain returns the $70 billion in Jewish refugee assets they seized before and during WW2 ($2 billion in cash and property - plus 50 years of compounded interest - confiscated from Jews fleeing Europe - cynically calling it "captured enemy assets", then they can talk about Israel giving up Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Israel should demand EU ejection from the Quartet, and renounce all of its "Road Map" commitments until they are booted. The EU action is a direct violation of UNSC242, which is the sole basis for a land-for-peace settlement. No peace, no land, and the Palestinians have ruled out ever recognizing the Jewish State of Israel. EU wants to give them the land anyway.
24. Dear Euros
Entitat Zionid ,   Toronto Canada   (07.26.13)
Just like you couldn't see your economic crash coming ,you don't seem to understand this is the first step of many. Israel is responding gradually. If you'd like to look down the line Europe will suffer greatly. Just like Europe laughed as it gassed its Jewish population thinking "we will be better off" it has now gone from world leader to world loser. Your civilization is finished. Enjoy your economic misery, military impotence and social unrest. JavaScript: save()
25. #5 It's not about the money
Ze'ev ,   USA   (07.26.13)
First off, the ban is to EU funded projects in the West Bank, (research grants etc) not to commercial entities in the West Bank. Even if there was a commercial boycott of West Bank products (mostly produce) the money that those exports generate is pocket change compared with Israel's real exports. (Technology) The only people that are going to come out losing here, will be the Palestinians. (loss of jobs in the west bank, and no new EU funded projects)
26. 5. It will make it considerably harder for the
(07.26.13)
EU to look like a big shot at Israel's expense.... and we all know how much you all like looking like big shots at other people's expense ...
27. Oil contracts w/EU
Shoshana Rubin ,   Nokum   (07.26.13)
We Jews should look at that, too. The EU has signed contracts with Israel that it wants Israeli oil.
28. bad mistake
angry   (07.26.13)
Why should we stop them travelling to gaza? We should help them go, but stop them from returning
29. Economic freeze for the Palestinians
the result   (07.26.13)
The impact on Israel is negligible. Infrastructure projects for the Palestinians will stop. But the Israeli population in Judea and Samaria will continue to grow and flourish.
30. Their security
Jacob   (07.26.13)
They rely on Israeli security because they know those animals will rip them apart. It is about the time the Israelis let it happen. Let them learn who they are helping the way their European brothers are learning in Syria.
