If the shooter was a Palestinian and lynch mob made of Jews it would be a self defence :) ,...
2. What honours??
John ,   Europe   (07.30.13)
Zada killed people in a rampage. He deserved to be TRIALED. These Arabs KILLED Zada instead of leaving him to his faith in jail! They deserved to be TRIALED. The rest is religious and racist gibberish! How would Israelis react if Europe would not trial somebody who killed Jews just because he is European? Or if America would not trial somebody who killed Jew just because he is American? Or - in a matter of fact - how would Arabs react if a murderer of Muslims would be free without trial because he is American/European? You want to be treated civilized? BE CIVILIZED. Currently, sorry, but whole world looks at Israelis and Arabs as two sides of same coin - and that is a BAD coin. You can start smearing now on me (although this is not my opinion I presented).

5. So which is it?
laura j ,   USA   (07.30.13)
If the defendants were all "far away from the bus" and didn't even see Zada (as they claim), then what do they deserve "honors" for? They say they're innocent. The mayor seems to be saying they were guilty but justified. They should get their stories straight.
6. Beat a handcuffed prisoner to death
Israel   (07.30.13)
That they weren't charged with murder is an affront. They are bad as Zada and not heroes
7. "Attempted to stop the massacre from expanding further"
Tahl   (07.30.13)
When the deceased was already subdued, badly injured, without his weapon, and cuffed by the police. They should be lucky their mob had scared the court enough, so that they would not be convicted of murder. And no - a Jew who would lynch a Palestinian terrorist in such a condition will not receive an honor, but similarly go on trial. We are sick and tired of hearing the "racism" card used again and again by Arabs, to muffle any legitimate criticism of their crimes.
8. PM Yitzhak Shamir ordered killing of prisoners in Bus 300
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (07.30.13)
...Affair..."a 1984 incident in which Shin Bet members executed two Palestinian bus hijackers, immediately after the hostage crises incident ended and they were captured."
9. Less we forget Natan Zada
Ron USA   (07.30.13)
was an IDF murder on active duty.
10. Irrationality in a mayor is scary. 1) Police report he was h
hipocrates ,   earth   (07.30.13)
he was handcuffed & subdued totally under police authority. Police had to flee because the 1000s of rapid onlookers were rioting and were threatening to lynch the police. 3) we dont know if he did that as terrorism or if he felt endangered on the bus and was attacked. There is a lot that is unknown, in truth, and the order of law must be applied to find the truth. these guys killed a man who was handcuffed however reprehensible his actons and they were about to do the same to the police. law and order

Walter ,   Germany   (07.30.13)
Krav 300: Avraham Shalom was given full presidental pardon. Gush Emunim: They mutilated the mayors of Ramallah and Nabulzs, killed 3 students and hurt 22 more, tried to destroy the Dome of Rock. Pardoned after 7 years. Palestinians get 20 years for throwing a stone.
12. @11
A Shvitzer ,   Israel   (07.30.13)
Yes but never serve this time because they are always released during peace talks or prisoner swap deal.
13. Your headline condemns you
Colin Wright ,   Richmond, Ca USA   (07.30.13)
A man manages to shoot twenty six people -- killing four -- in an unprovoked assault before he is pulled down and killed himself. You describe this as a 'lynching' -- of the shooter! No further comment is necessary. Ask yourselves what you are.
14. If they'd been in Palestine they would be heroes.
jrebecca ,   modiin   (07.30.13)
cause they'd killed a Jew. Maybe they;d like move, Mayor, town, protestors, the whole lot of them.
15. Hard to cry for this guy
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (07.30.13)
I understand everyone on this site will come out with their own biased opinions, but truth be told, this guy was a murderer and it's hard to feel sympathy for him. I am far from a left-winger, but this guy was a murderer, plain and simple. I understand the rule of law, but going into an Arab village and killing people is not only murder, but really stupid. Unless there is part of this story we don't know, he seems to have gotten what he deserved.
16. The plain truth!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.30.13)
"We...want the same law for Jews as for Arabs. In a different scenario the defendants would receive honors."
17. If we have the same law for Jews and Arabs
Mordechai   (07.30.13)
If the law is the same for Jews and Arabs then Jews can kill the 104 Arab terrorists Israel is going to release.
