1. WHEN are medical workers going to be held criminally
Rivkah   (08.01.13)
liable for errors which are more likely vendettas by the "Medical Mafia" if you read the book by that name. Decades ago, Kaiser Hospital in Orange County, California, told my sister Martha Bill she had a venereal disease. She knew they were lying and had another test in another facility that showed she did not have a venereal disease. Some studies have shown that 1 in 4 medications given in hospitals is in error. It is time for medical workers to be held criminally liable. The favorite game now with medical workers is to steal Social Security numbers from children patients and ruin their credit rating even when the children are babies! Time to clear the crud out of the medical system by taking away licenses and prosecuting medical system criminals.
2. The letter C looks like I???
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (08.01.13)
What? C looks like I? Please explain. Between the bus fights between Haredim and women, the corruption every day, the ineptitude of our government and institutions, and the other insane news we read daily, what is going on here? Is it the summer heat? The letter C looks like I????
3. Telling on Israel and how HIV is viewed
Daniel ,   TLV   (08.01.13)
The one huge take home piece of information I get out of this story is that Israel needs to better educate the populace on HIV. With treatment people SURVIVE and live relatively NIRMAL lives. HIV doesn't care if you are religious straight married gay or even about your gender. Anyone can be infected. Fortunately now more than ever before it is a disease that can be survived and treaent doesn't have to debilitate you.

What utter nonsense on your part! I'm sorry your sister was misdiagnosed. She did the right thing and got rechecked. This is what one is SUPPOSED to do. No where on earth is medicine 100% accurate 100% of the time. Errors happen; be they human or error or equipment error. To ask for criminal charges in such a case would end the medical profession. Who would want to enter a profession where you could end up imprisoned for not being perfect 100% of the time. If your beef is medical costs, there in the US you are correct. Hospitals charge excessive amounts for stupid things to make up for the cost of treating people without insurance who don't or can't pay their bills. Hence you have $10 tongue depressors. Medication errors have gone down since electronic orders became the law of the land in the US under Obamacare. This would have also solved the issue at Barzilai as the only way a "C" and an "I" can be mistaken for each other is with very poor handwriting. Computerized charts and orders are the only way to prevent handwriting errors. They will not however prevent typing errors. Just like 'spell check' doesn't notice when a correctly spelled word is inappropriate for a sentence, HIV and HCV are potential diagnosis. But if I had to choose, I'd rather be HIV positive than HCV.
5. 4 Daniel, TLV: A lot of professionals go to prison for
Rivkah   (08.02.13)
fraud, mistakes, errors in judgment, thefts, etc. But you think medical workers should be exempt except for civil lawsuits. Why don't you read the book, "Medical Mafia", to learn a lot of the deaths in hospitals are vendettas and deliberate. Dr. Bill Deagle of Vista, California, says that when he was in Canada (same thing happens in US hospitals and elsewhere), a 40 year old father was brought into the E.R. with a simple concussion. He was unconscious but would have recovered if allowed to. Instead, the family was told it was hopeless and asked to donate his organs (of a healthy man) which they did which was medical murder so the hospital could make $300,000. in body parts or more now. The grandson of a Mayor of Jerusalem was killed by a dentist with laughing gas. Murder? Manslaughter? An ACCIDENT when other children were not killed by the dentist? No charges were filed against the dentist, but YOU want him to remain in practice since he was so good to attack the Mayor of Jerusalem's family that maybe you hated, too. What about Ariel Sharon? He was given an injectable blood thinner that was contraindicated for his condition that CAUSED a major stroke. He got to the hospital at Jerusalem (Hadassah Ein Kerem) within an hour, plenty of time within a three hour window to give him intravenous Caffeinol to reverse 80% of the symptoms. He was not given that. Was that attempted MURDER? Attempted manslaughter? A MISTAKE? An ACCIDENT? No charges were filed for physicians trying to kill the Prime Minister because they were angry about the Gaza pullout. But YOU think that is OKAY? Are you insane? Of course medical workers like accountants and lawyers and most other workers should be criminally liable for mistakes that harm people. If no harm comes from the mistake, then that should not be a criminal matter. But the problem is, pal, a lot of harm comes from medical mistakes and deliberate attacks on patients. What a naive person you are. You are in Satan's camp, wanting to protect Satan's killers. Satan is a murderer! That is what you are to say medical people who kill for fun or on a vendetta or by accident should not have to be prosecuted. Get the mafia out of the medical profession by criminal liabilities. I was in the US Navy from 1975 to 1978 where the mafia sent people to go to pharmacy tech school to get access to drugs to steal them and sell them on the streets where people took them and died. But YOU think such people should not be presecuted criminally!!!!!
