Sounds really strange
2. Great news.
Wise Saba ,   Western Negev   (08.04.13)
Now build baby build all over our country.
3. The Government will backtrack
Kobi Martin ,   Tel Aviv   (08.04.13)
One more bravado and.. .in a few days, under US pressure, nobody will listen to this anymore. Time has come to freeze settlements and the world is watching this. It is no use to approve measures like this and quickly, shamefully, humiliatingly deny everything in the next day...
4. Jews returning to the Jewish homeland
Sam ,   Canada   (08.04.13)
There is no distinguishing in the bible between the West Bank and the rest of Israel. The West Bank is "occupied territory" for some Jewish and other ignoramuses. Jews are ready to sacrifice part of the territory for peace but Palestinians want it all for themselves. So, Jews should just move ahead.
5. It's all about money power
(08.04.13)
Peretz is right. It's obviously only political. Politicians will continue to fund settlements with our money when settlers are a minority compared to Israelis living within the Green Line. We're being held hostages from a group of fanatics at the expense of our society who struggles for a living! Shame on you medinat Israel, Bibi and Benet
6. Record number of settlements included in national priority l
(08.04.13)
Of course it is those communities that are most in peril that need assistance. Also, it is a disgrace that Israel tries to hide aid to these communities (they are not settlemnents as this automatically implies that they are illegal). They should be promoting them and continuously repeating that they are legal.

8. Political Spin
EM ,   Ra'anana   (08.04.13)
The joke is really on all the people who voted for Lapid and thought that he would dedicate himself to resolve the lack of affordable housing in the center of the country. The government, which Lapid joined, never had any intention to subsidize housing where the majority of the citizens want to live. It will be interesting to hear how Lapid spins himself out of this one.
9. #5 Group of fanatics? Over half a million with more to come.
Sam ,   Canada   (08.04.13)
10. Demand UNLIMITED Judea/Samaria building NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.04.13)
No more games. No more B.S. This tiny land is ours and has been for more than 3,500 years. Let every good Jew, Israeli patriot and friend of Israel demand UNLIMITED Jewish building throughout Judea and Samaria NOW!
11. Send the money SOUTH!!!
Debbie ,   Israel   (08.04.13)
It's needed here
12. Build as many units ASAP without any delays.
Son of Cyrus ,   UK   (08.04.13)
13. Missing the point Sir/Madam!
Son of Cyrus ,   UK   (08.04.13)
The point is the survival of Jewish Nation, Culture and Heritage. It takes priority over cheap housing in central Israel. There will not be any Israel if swift action is not taken. Your view is unfortunately naïve. Jews have been thrown out of Arab and Islamic Countries. Jewish position in Europe is very delicate given the Rise of Islamic Culture in EU Countries and the counter forces of the Right Wings who are becoming stronger. Must build as many housing units as possible to allow Jewish People in Europe and other countries to immigrate.
14. The Land of Israel
Brod ,   USA   (08.04.13)
Judea and Samaria-the Land of Israel belongs to Israel since ancient time which Israel liberated from Arab Islamist-Jihadist occupation in the 20th century, just as Spain liberated its historic homeland from Islamist-Jihadist occupation in the 15th century. Israel should be building all over its Land of Israel. Leftist Pagans who oppose it should not live in Israel. They should be shipped back to where they came from. They undermine Israel's National Security, existence and survival.
15. No 10 : You said it best !
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (08.04.13)
Short and to the target... Enough with games of pretending, that We will ever get peace if only, we'll show concsessions and a so-called "good will"...We have been there and done that more then once or twice..And look where we still are now...We have given them the beautiful city of Yamit and the blooming fertile land of Gush Katif...And what did they do? Turn the whole area into a barren desert, again, the terror persists and if we wouldn't be strong and vigilant, there wouldn't be Israel...Golda said it best: Peace could come only when they will love their children more, then they hate us...And Yes to you, Chaim, giving up our sacred & ancient land of Yehuda and Shomron, would not satisfy them or bring peace...Such action, will only guarantee intensified war against us and daily terror...Haven't we been there and done that ?
16. #8 explain better
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (08.04.13)
Your letter makes no sense, but it should. Please address the following issues. The current housing crisis started when Netanyahu imposed the building freeze on Judea and Samaria, increasing demand for houses in the center. If people voted Lapid to bring affordable housing in the center then he should be building much more in Judea and Samaria. Lapid never spoke about "subsidizing" housing, that was Yehimovitch. Lapid is not a communist, he is part of the upper middle class. He was elected to reduce taxes on people who work, not to increase taxes so lazy Leftists can drink cappucino on the beach.
17. Livni wants to release terrorists towards peace talks she
jrebecca ,   modiin   (08.04.13)
campaigned for. When you're in a coalition government, and you have your own agenda, you pay a price towards it. This is the price of Bait Yehudi not stopping the terrorist release. It's all called political compromise.
18. #8. Massive Judea/Samaria building lowers housing prices.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.04.13)
Judea and Samaria has one of the highest birth rates in the Western World. Thousands of new homes are needed right now. Moreover, massive building in Judea and Samaria lowers housing prices throughout Israel by making the housing market more competitive.
19. #15. "Land for peace" insults human intelligence.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.04.13)
#15. Thank you, Jennie. There is simply no sane excuse to surrender another grain of Israeli sand. "Land for peace" insults human intelligence. That is why no other state, in all of human history, has ever adopted it as a policy. What makes it even more insane is that, as you note, Israel has already done it many times. The results are ALWAYS disastrous. What makes it still more insane? Israel WON the wars! Since the beginning of time, the winner in defensive wars keeps the lands they gain. However, the really key point is even simpler. Judea and Samaria belong to Israel. End of discussion.
20. Peace for peace
Edouard ,   Montreal Canada   (08.04.13)
Land for peace This is ridiculous .... This is israel not anything els This the land of israel the land where any Jews of the world can get shelter The life insurance of every Jew What ever we will give them it will never be enough This kind of peace is a peace on short term not real peace with partner that really want to respect and love their neigbours Never never trust this people who wants land for peace We will give peace for peace nothing els

Can't argue with people like you (maybe you are the same person using different ids) who make up 'facts' according to your narrow minded agenda.
23. #22:
Israeli 2   (08.04.13)
No one is asking you to argue....just learn from Chaim whose name is as genuine as he is. Chaim concentrates his energies mainly on Eretz Yisrael whom he loves dearly. Study him, learn from him and then come back and thank him. Is that clear, EM?
24. to 19
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (08.05.13)
Thanks Chaim for your input... Indeed, there is no justification or excuse to weaken our vital defense and deterranse capasity for many reasons...Essentially, our survival as a Nation, is pending on our ability and resolve, to defend our lawful sovereign Jewish State, against enemies, sworn to destruct and innihilate us...Their claim for the second palestinian state, should be addressed to Jordan and Egypt...We All want and seek peace with our neigbors...But if and when attacked or threatenned, only an unprescedented capacity for swift and crushing deterrence, can bring peace to our Nation and keep it too ...We are only as strong and victorious, as the lessons we learn from our history and history of our wars and heavy losses... About Yehuda and Shomron: We made a big mistake by even thinking the possibility of such cowardly shameful act...Why should have never "play" the loosers, when we won every war, started against us...Yehuda and Shomron is one one of our most treasured ancient lands and is as well, the "cradle" of Judaism and the Jewish Nation...Why would we want to give it to hostal and self-invented refugees from Muslim countries, who suddenly decided to call themsleves a nation? They should demend it from Egypt and Jordan, etc...
25. Housing prices will fall in the center ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.05.13)
When there is a demand for housing in the center of the country , prices will continue to rise . And buiding in Yesha will not change this trend . People who work in central Israel , who prefer Dizengoff street to a street in Yesha , will not go to leave the center .
26. Chaim , what will you do with all those
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.05.13)
who are living there too ? Yes we have won all our defensive wars , we may hold some important places beginning with Yeroushalaim , the Gush , Ariel , and so on . But what about ramallah , Jenin , etc ? Will you expell all their inhabitants ?
