This title is a little misleading. The Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Consulate in Jlem, (I'll go out on a limb and assume the same goes for the Haifa location) were never actually closed down. The are only open to the public Mon-Fri and aren't open on Sundays anyway. So either way they would have been closed yesterday and open today even without any threat.

Except that Israel isn't going to let that happen. The current American administration bashes and bullies Israel unbearably, but trusts Israel. Perhaps Israel is too loyal by half, and the United States deserves what it gets. We've shared intelligence with the United States, protected United States interests pretty much forever, and yet -- the esteemed Moslem in chief seems to think that it would be a really swell idea for Israel to release over one hundred callous terrorist murderers. In the name of a pretend peace that anyone with an IQ above twenty (yes, that does exclude a great many Americans, including the terrorist in chief) knows will never happen. As an American, I hate myself for saying this, but what the United States really needs is a great big bang in some place such as the Mall of America. Perhaps that is what it will take to bring the American administration to its senses. It seems nothing less will penetrate the dim brains of the idiocracy that rules the United States. Israel is not America's enemy. Most Americans are very well aware of that, but -- alas -- the Arabists and Islamicists in the White House, State Department and CIA have not quite gotten the message.

Many of us Americans did not vote for obama. As an American police officer from a long line of officers and military I've never seen the US in such a poor state of affairs. Extreme left made US a lazy, entitled society who put Obama in ofc with help from American.Jews. Consider that before making broad generalizations!
