2. Ase Christian Arabs Arabs First Or Christians First?
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.06.13)
Because they choose the Arab side of their identity- and therefore generally side with our enemies, they get treated as such. It doesn't have to be like that. It's their choice- and their choice has ramifications.
3. this land, whether you like it or not is the land of revelat
Jrebecca ,   Modiin   (08.06.13)
this land, whether you like it or not is the land of revelation,” Father Pizzabella said - Has he checked with his Muslem brothers, who treat him so well, on that one?
4. Sounds like a long list of excuses for not paying taxes.

5. May they be blessed with every blessing they have blessed
Yosi ,   Gilo-Jerusalem   (08.06.13)
us with, 100 times more. May what they have done to us for close to 2,000 years fall on their heads many times over. And as #1 says, there is a very warm special place waiting for them. Hey, their friend from the 1940's, adolf(mshm) is already waiting for them there.
6. The land of revelation
AY ,   USA   (08.06.13)
is also a state and taxes landed property. And if it's not a piece of land that actually has only a church and no businesses on that land, it should be taxed just like the rest of the land in the neighborhood.
7. They are not Jews and the hate Israel... TAX THEM
Chaio ,   Israel   (08.06.13)

Whoa there Vatican Treasury.. Banking scandals of 'Italian' magic resulting in millions, ( billions ?) of missing dollars that start out at the Vatican's bank and end up with the Mafia, after another Italian bankers dead man's body is found hanging from a European bridge..... And, you Italian banking thieves never paid Israel a lire after cooperating with the Nazis, selling Vatican Passports to Nazi Officers escaping justice from their war crimes.? Tax the bastards.!!!!! From the start plus interest and penalties They should NOT own Israel's land either, neither should any foreign entity. ALL the land belongs to Israel.
10. In Christian countries u practice ur faith
Moses Mafora ,   Johannesburg, SA   (08.06.13)
without any problem, if someone says something; you cry LOUDLY saying is anti semites. What goes around comes around, be careful Israelis; how many embassies u have in Christian countries?
11. Catholics
Son of Cyrus ,   UK   (08.06.13)
Catholics should practice Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds with Good Intent of course. (Holy Trinity according to Zarathustra) Then they will accepted by all. ============================== Vatican was built on The Persian G-d Lord Mithra Temple. Around 2000 years ago there were 2 Super Powers; Rome and Persia. Around this time 2 religions were practiced in Persia Mithraism and Zoroastrianism. Romans and Persians fought many wars as the Romans tried to conquer Persia. The Romans lost. One Persian King called Shahpour defeated 3 Roman Emperors. The Roman soldiers were afraid of fighting Persian soldiers which they attributed to their Gods. Many Roman soldiers converted to Mithraism and built numerous temples for Mithra including in Central London. It was a toss up between Christianity and Mithraism as to which one would become the Official State Religion and Roman Catholicism came into prominence as a means of controlling the masses by the Roman Emperors and defaming The Jewish Nation at the same time to deny the true roots of Jesus Christ. In the story of the birth of Jesus Christ the 3 Mogi Wise Men who were Zoroastrian Priest of Moghan - Mogi in English. Christianity borrowed a lot of things not only from the Jewish Faith but also Mithraism and Zoroastrian Faith. The birth Lord Mithra was the 21 st of December which was at the birth of Jesus Christ and then changed to 25th December as Christmas Day. Its about time the Catholics started practicing The Holy Trinity in their every day life.
12. Non--jews are already taxed & forced
James   (08.06.13)
to support judaism. Jewish institutions are taxed at a lower rate.
13. #12, That is pure BS
Jake   (08.06.13)
that reeks to high heaven of antisemitism. Not a word of truth to what you are saying. Grow up! As the Father Pizzaballa himself said in the article, "“It is understood that a church, like a synagogue or mosque, does not pay taxes". Religious institutions of ALL recognized religions in Israel are tax exempt. This is not about the churches themselves but about Church-owned PROPERTY. As tthe Father Pizzaballa says: "For example, is a field exempted? Is a school exempted? Is a vineyard exempted?" There is no central Synagogue body that owns vast holdings of property, as the Church does.
14. There are hundreds of catholic denominations
Barry S.   (08.06.13)
I think the author here is referring to the most well-known one in the West,= the Roman Catholic church.
15. What is this BS?
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (08.06.13)
Definition of "foreigner": 1: a person belonging to or owing allegiance to a foreign country 2 chiefly dialect : one not native to a place or community (Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary) According to this definition, unless the Catholic Church wishes to declare itself a citizen of Israel, it is a foreigner. Individual clergymen would have to be assessed on an individual basis. Being an "integral part of the life" is NOT a criterion - UNWRA and other agencies are an integral part of Palestinian life, but their management is still foreign. It looks to me like the Catholic Church is seeking the tax-exempt status it has in many other countries, a status that has made it the richest church in history (and certainly one of the most corrupt). Let them go elsewhere to find their money.
16. jews oppress Christians
Kren   (08.06.13)
Look at the number of Christians before so called "israel" and look after. In Arab and Muslim states Christians are still there after centuries. Look at Egypt for example there are millions of them, Christians know very well that Jews are the problem and no one else.
17. bs, #16
I ,   jerusalem   (08.06.13)
it is arab aggression that has driven out the Christians. The Copts are hanging on because they are the indi genous Egyptians, most here were flushed out by the PLO and its fellow thugs from Gaza and Bethlehem. And I would wager that most visitors are not from the RC, but rather the much friendlier and well mannered Baptists and Evangelicals.
18. Kren , 16
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.07.13)
The number of Christians is diminishing in ALL the Middle Eastern countries , EXEPT Israel . Bethlehem that was an almost 100 % christian town , is now with a muslim majority . Christians flee the muslim dominated regions , but stay in Israel . They know that they are free to observe their "faith" here.
