Ilan   (08.08.13)
2. Sadly...
Raoul ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
I concur. How can one see it otherwise?
3. Giving concessions for nothing is not how you make peace
Scott ,   Givatayim, Israel   (08.08.13)
4. Weisglass gave us the expulsion from Gush Katif
Zev ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
and all we got was Hamas and rockets deep into Israel. Is this what he is hoping Israel will do in Yehuda and Shomron? I agree that it will be harder to expel hundreds of thousands of Jews without an agreement but if there is a real agreement for peace the settlers will not be a problem.
5. Israel REJECTS evil Two State Final Solution.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
Dov Weisglas has already done enormous damage to Israel. But like the dumb, arrogant leftist that he is, he still thinks he knows what is best for Israel. Recent polls show a large majority of more than 65% of Israelis REJECT suicidal Israeli retreat from Judea and Samaria. Israel REJECTS the evil Two State Final Solution. It is obvious to any literate child, capable of reading a map, that this abomination is intended to turn Israel into a 9 mile wide concentration camp. It is a sick suicide note from the Israeli left.
6. Yummy
God'sway   (08.08.13)
"Slice of swiss cheese" is that how palestinian state always looks like?
7. would never agree to...
(08.08.13)
["Washington would never agree to a Palestinian state that looks like a "slice of Swiss cheese."] Well, that's what it's all about.
8. Reading this article you'd think that Israel is USA's poodle
Miracle Dog ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
9. Palestinian state
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (08.08.13)
I really wonder why we should care much more about the possibilities of our enemies to have a normal state than the possibilities of our people to live in peace in our land! Obviously the writer is not religious since he believes that we have the right to Tel Aviv and not to Yesha. Same people who would have been happy having our state in Uganda where we should be, no doubt, colonialist occupiers!
10. There Are No "Isolated" "Settlements" Anymore
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (08.08.13)
Those days were over long ago. Now, there are growing, thriving Jewish communities all across Judea and Samaria; with roads that can get us from the furthest communities to anywhere in the country in short order. And this IS how we make peace; on OUR terms- in OUR land. No apologies and no concessions to our enemies.
11. brainwashed
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.08.13)
The settlement movement is the most powerful lobby in Israel and has successfully brainwashed the public. Only when strong international sanctions are applied that hit the public in their pockets, will the public begin to understand the nature of the catastrophe of the settlement movement.
12. If Pals wanted peace we wouldn't have so many settlers
Sam ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
We would have had a 2 state solution long ago if the Palestinians wanted it. They don't want a Jewish majority Israel so we don't have it. Jews will leave the door open to making peace but Palestinian intransigence shouldn't and doesn't stop Jews from building the Jewish homeland. It seems strange for many in the West for Israel to make peace this way but what they don't get is that the Palestinians have no interest in making peace. They are just trying to take advantage of Jewish and Western peaceniks to try and keep the Jews out.
13. 1.5 mill Muslims Living in Israel are an obstacle to peace?
Johnny ,   TA, Israel   (08.08.13)
But 500,000 Jews living in Judea and Samaria are an obstacle to peace Liberal logic 101
14. USA is continuous? Never heard of Alaska?
Johnny ,   TA, Israel   (08.08.13)
How about Manhattan. Is manhattan continuous?
15. Judenrein
Nachman ,   Ma'ale Adumim   (08.08.13)
So Weisglas believes like Abbas that any future Palestinian State should be judenrein - hardly surprising given his history. Who really wants to hear from this man anyway? Does he not know that Obama has already abrogated the infamous Bush letter by talking about going back to the misnamed "1967 borders". He more than most knows that what the Arabs want is not peace but the destruction of Israel.
16. You are a total IDIOT. Palis will not make peace regardless
Toby ,   Jerusalem   (08.08.13)
of what or how much we give them. The war against Israel will continue until they get all of it. It is mindboggling how ignorant some people are.
17. Whateve happens is ok to palestinans
jimi ,   palestine   (08.08.13)
Its either an acceptable two states solution with 1967 as borders or one palestinian state (bi national one). One state is better so , settlers and israeli government. ..do please continue build the one state and we will see each other in the elections boxes.
18. # Chaim, Agree with you
Mohammad Said ,   Ramallah, Israel   (08.08.13)
We Palestinians dont want two States. We want to become Israelis and sing haTikvah and have the betuar leumi. Two States is an evil solution. Yes, Chaim, I totally agree with you. Our politcians are destroying our lives. Israel cannot live in 9 km strip. I will be a shaheed to fight for the annexation to Israel. I will take arms if necessary. I want to be Israeli.
19. #17,#18 Israel not giving you citizenship
Sam ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
The choice for Palestinians is between the status quo and Jewish and Palestinian majority states. It's Israel not the Arab League or UN that controls the area.
20. weisglass
ian   (08.08.13)
this guy like olmert thinks he knows but he was the one who talkied sharon into gaza withdrawal unilaterally. Another lawyer who misreads arabs who do not want peace. Giving themmore concessions emboldens their aggression. Weisglass is a know nothing man with regard to arabs and all of his words are pathetic/ Does he even for a moment consider israel's defense line. israel is on its ownm. It is time that israel made territorial demands of its own. Weisglass would do israel a favour by disappearing from the scene or at the very least shut the hell up.
21. # 19 You are wrong
Mohammad Said ,   Ramallah Israel   (08.08.13)
The option for the Palestinians are (1) citizenship to Israel or (2) Palestinian State. But we Palestinians dont want the State anymore. We want to become Israelis. if the negoatiations fail - and inshall'ah they will - immediately after we will star a civil rights movement like it happened in the States and South Africa. In the beginning American and Apartheid leaders also said what you say (just google their reply when the protests started) but then, with the scale of protests and pressure, the oppressed people become part of the Government. So please, just keep building throughtout Israel and annex us. You are wrong again. It is not up to Israel to decide. If Israel could it would never go into negotiations. You never asked yourself why Israel is in the negotiations and at the same time keep building? Don't fool yourself. I love Israel!
22. #21 West Bank+Israel is Jewish homeland
Sam ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
Just like Palestinians claim the West Bank and Israel as their homeland so do the Jews claim it as their Jewish homeland. That is why Jews build there. The difference is that most Jews are ready to compromise over the territory and most Palestinians are not. So Jews are not going to wait for Palestinians to change their minds. They will build. Let the Jews know when you are ready to compromise. Until then whether Palestinians engage in war, terrorism or demonstrations it won't change anything. Jews aren't annexing the territory and they aren't giving you citizenship.
23. More dangerous? house or murderer on the loose
Gedalyah ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
Were you ever attacked by a house?
24. Viva Israel! Viva 1-State with Arab Majority!
Lynx ,   Palestine   (08.08.13)
25. # 22 Sam
Mohammad Said   (08.08.13)
Israel truly believed that the land could be divided until 1967. After then, things changed. Palestinians, very lately, unfortunately, realized that they had to share the land. But it was too late. By then, the Israeli right wing had already decided to colonize the West Bank. Any negotiating exercise is useless while more houses are build in the WB. Almost 8% of Israel population is now placed in the WB. If Palestinian leadership had any decency they would only accept the partition if 90% of the settlements were removed. If Israel insists in building, so, just change the strategy and let's fight for democracy, human rights and the rule of law inside Israel (Israel + WB). It's up to Palestinians decide - not Israel - what kind of future we want. Or to live a prosperous life like Israelis, being citizens of the country, or to be independent and chaotic like the other Arabs in the region. Things changed for the worse for Israel. And as the Palestinians regret not having accept the partition, Israel, paradoxically, will regret to when huge thousands of people in Ramallah, Nablus, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ber Sheba go to the streets demanding equality and justice for all. Israel for all. I love Israel. Build, habibi, build.
26. #4. May as well print agreement with P.A. on toilet paper..
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
Who cares about an agreement with the terrorist P.A.? Recent polls show the vast sane majority of Israelis don't. An agreement with the P.A. isn't worth a single penny. This tiny land is ours and we're staying forever. An agreement with the P.A. may as well be printed on toilet paper for all it is worth.
27. #25 Who told you Pals can choose to be citizens of Israel?
Sam ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
It's certainly not Israel giving you a choice of being citizens of Israel and it decides not the PA or Hamas or UN or US. Israel gives you the choice of having a Palestinian state if it's acceptable to the majority on both sides. The details will be worked out. Some Jews reject that but most don't. Palestinians will have to come to terms with the fact that Jews want to have a country with a Jewish majority or else nothing changes for them.
28. Bottom line: jews don't want peace. They
(08.08.13)
find it more rewarding to steal the land.
29. Mr. Weisglas
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.08.13)
If we build say another 80,000 homes that might actually get the Arabs to think about talking. As for what Washington wants - TFB. We are not going to divide Israel in two regardless of what morons like you want. Try driving from Washington D.C. to Hawaii and tell us how continuous that is
30. #25 Who told you Pals can choose to be citizens of Israel?
