1. what?
Airborne ,   Jerusalem   (08.22.13)
Don't laws matter? They come here to work for a specific period of time and are supposed to leave. They are not here to raise families. The blame goes to the Phillipine govt for encouraging overseas laborers as well as the Israeli govt for not enforcing work visas.
2. Airborne in Jerusalem
Non Jewish Immigrant ,   Haifa   (08.22.13)
So they spend years after years cleaning poop of your parents and grandparents, spending all the time with them while you're too busy working in order to pay your loans, feeding them, taking care of them when they're sick and finally see them die and they shouldn't have the right to raise a family??? Are you even for real??? The world has changed my dear, and in this world boundaries tend to disappear slowly. People travel and settle in different places for many different reasons. That's the reality ! They invest their time and their life for the Israeli people and they should be deported because their kids are a little too asians to your taste??
3. Filimino Workers
Sara ,   Jerusalem   (08.22.13)
They had contracts, whether they choose to have children is not our problem. When the contract is up they need to go home. They are not Jews! I for one am sick of people trying to change the rules to suit themselves. Send them back, sooner rather than later!

They came to Israel on WORK VISAS, the did not immigrate nor claim asylum. Thy travelled half way around the world to WORK. If that means cleaning poop so be it but they chose to do it. FYI they are not "settling". they are in Israel to work. Coincidentally they are not citizens according to the law nor are their kids. Doesn't matter if they were born Israel or not. There is a process and if you do not like the process then lobby your representative to change it. Do not be Intellectually dishonest and tell me the world has changed and borders are disappearing because what you are advocating is anarchy. FYI - do you know how many people have never even flown on a plane before? Do you know how far one has to travel to get to Israel? Geez you make it seem as if these people escaped Syria. Name one country where you can apply for a work visa, show up and demand to be treated as a citizen. You are unbelievable.
5. Filipino - You caused this problem
Tova ,   Canada   (08.22.13)
It's very common for Filipinos to live in other countries and have children both in the country and back in the Phillipines. This is their choice. It is not Israel's repsonsibilities. Alot of Filipinos also come to Canada and they all want to work & marry Jews. I know many fFilipino who say to marry Jews is better. they are easily persauded to give lots of money and give employment as nannies. These workers have contracts. No pity here.
6. to #2 non-Jewish immigrant
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (08.24.13)
I am intimately familiar with the Filipinits. They invest NOTHING in our country. They work, they get paid; they send the money to another country. Which is legal.... as long as they are legal. The day after their visa expires, they are criminals. No one can show me a single investment in the future Hebrew regime made by Filipinos. This is not racism - this is a measurement. PS: If they would disperse out of South TelAviv and start speaking Hebrew amongst themselves, they would be treated as immigrants. But they don't, so they get treated as what they are.... fungible worker bees. Very replaceable. Not a liability to us, but also not any particular ASSET to the country
7. Post Shoah Disgusting
Noachide   (08.24.13)
Deporting Phillipines Peoples who work so hard with the elderly is Not Good .Since Isreal will be dominated with Religious Jews and Secular Security Post Shoah Justice Seekers Internationals will pose no threat.
8. #2 have you ever had to "support" a
benjy   (08.25.13)
foriegn worker...here on a contract visa and well aware of it.? You should ask around, yes things are different, kids go out to work these days to support a family, thus making it hard to give 24/7 care to an elderly parent. BTW do you know how much it all costs, plus all the extras these people expect...or they will dump you! They have demands, etc pocket money, time off, laptops cell phones, and food (they know how to eat) etc, all paid for by the employer, as their money goes abroad, they dont put their money back into the Israeli economy. I have actually witnessed those that invite over friends, finish all the food etc....or "pop" out for ciggerettes, leaving the sleeping aged person. I agree they do a good job, and pity our own wont do it, and most cant as have their own families to also care for. What other country would allow what Israel does, no way...contract up, home you go, thats made clear before they come!
9. #2 the equation is simple
chaya ,   central israel   (08.27.13)
with permit, stay to work. without permit go ! This is a country of and FOR jews. I made aliya hoping my children will get jewish education, marry jewish and eventually bring up productive jewish generations. What bothers me is why we have non jewish immigrant (#2) who comes and tries to change things !? you don't like our laws, you're most free to go back to where you came from !!
10. other nationals
galilean mom ,   Israel   (08.27.13)
Try and get a caregiver from India...south India, state of Kerala to be more specific. They are amazing people. They do not expect much, and so it's such a pleasure for us to insist they get more.
