1. Rawley and Humanitarian Day
Steve ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.19.13)
Mr. Rawley once again confuses the situation and the cycle of hatred that permeates both the NGO's and his organization toward Israel and Israelis. I also find his plea for allowing Hamas free reign over the waters and for Israel to open its borders for both Gaza and West Bank , naive at best and devious as always. But this humanitarian battle cry is so bogus on so many levels including the fact that we do open and allow many of the materials he claims we prohibit. I am always suspicious of anyone that makes their living off the backs of the so-called United Nations. Sometimes it is in the interest of these so-called humanitarian organizations to perpetuate the hatred in order to fund their fiefdom.
2. Maybe the Palestinians would stop trying to murder us
Israel   (08.19.13)
Nice to hear about the need for Israel to provide the raw materials needed for Hamas to continue their terror, but what about asking the Palestinians to stop trying to murder Israelis?
3. Pals bring it upon themselves by refusing peace
Sam ,   Canada   (08.19.13)
The UN looks at the consequences of Palestinians rejecting partition and blames Israel instead. The UN,US and EU are too frightened to tell Palestinians to compromise for peace so they take the easy way out and criticize Israel. Not of cowardice will peace be made.
4. "Humanitarian"?
Hunt S Cross ,   England   (08.19.13)
I'd be more prepared to accept such a designation were Mr Rawley to mention, just once, the "Palestinian" brainwashing of their children, designed to make them see Israelis as apes and pigs, not as human beings. I'd be more prepared to accept such a designation if Mr Rawley were to condemn, just once, The "Palestinian" regime's glorification of the released murderers whom they celebrate. Integrity is much too much to expect from our respected United Nations.
5. Boo hoo hoo from the um-schmum
Benoa   (08.19.13)
Of course women and children are worst affected, that's par for the course in this lefty-looney claptrap.
6. Still using the phoney "Circle of Violence" moniker?
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.19.13)
7. "Cycle of Violence"
karmel usa   (08.19.13)
Following Talkback #6 comments, it is, indeed, not a "cycle of violence". It is the Arab/Moslem world reaping exactly what it sows.
8. End violence through resounding Israeli victory.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.19.13)
The way to end the violence of "Palestinians" is the same way the WW II Allies ended the violence of the Nazis. Total resounding victory with no concessions whatsoever. Followed by the mass permanent departure of "Palestinian" poseurs from our land.
9. Definition of cycle of violence
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.19.13)
Arabs attempt genocide - Jews refuse to die. That is the cycle of violence. So we need to end that cycle - no Arabs in Gaza, Judea and Samaria - no genocide. Perfect end to the problem
10. And what must the Palestinians be doing to help end
bpbk ,   orlando us   (08.19.13)
the conflict? Not a word from the UN co-ordinator on that. This piece is cost- free for Mr. Rawley" He can chide Israel while defending the Palestinians and make demands on Israel. He did mention the Israelis in the south but made no demand for rockets from Gaza to end. Why not? Because that is a demand from the Palestinians and the UN works with the Palestinians so they must not be offended. Israelis as usual say - just more UN nonsense and we print their ant-humanitarian nonsense.
11. UN are responsible for the terrorism and hatred via EDUCATIO
hipocrates ,   earth   (08.19.13)
EDUCATION. The UNRWA has summer caps where the worst anti semitism and hatred are displayed for all to see on video. UN, you should blame yourself for your inept corrupt organization. No justice at the UN. Blacks and Jews are worth nothing to you but arab palestinians and arab oil money and votes are everything.
12. All it takes is for the Pals to stop.
Zvi   (08.20.13)
There is no cycle of violence, just an endless insistence on violence by the Pals.
13. Humanitarian aid feeds the cycle of violence and poverty
Shachar ,   Eilat   (08.20.13)
I know these agencies believe they are doing essential work but it is actually counter-productive. As soon as you start feeding people they become dependant instead of fending for themselves. They also sit around depressed and start fighting. If they have to work for a living the fighting is quickly forgotten. Best remedy is stopping all humanitarian aid and let people get back to fending for themselves.
14. A lot of good people
Zechariah   (08.20.13)
Despite errors in James Rawleys failure to be availed of anti jewish Propoganda by both the Fatah and Hamas it is right to acknowledge the Heroism of Aid workers who have lost their lives in saving people and who take great risks irrespective of ideologies. Also there are at least tens of millions of displaced persons and the Palestinians at this time are a few million at most and some in not so bad conditions.Certainly the Jewish state have Fascistic Criminals the conflict is bitter and cruel the best we can hpe for Is Calm Truces.
