The rule is the same for everyone: if the name doesn't appear in the official list, their is always a possibility to ask for an official document of the Israeli embassy. Nothing wrong with that. Bye the way, once the name is confirmed, it stays in the list.

this document stays in their archives , in the town , not in the country . I had a problem when i wanted to give a name to my daughter , the clerck had this name , but Ydddish transcription , a F instead of the V i wanted . Her boss said it's the same , and it was done as i wanted .

Have any right to intervene with what parents want to name their child-- until the court case last year in New Jersey, when parents wanted to name their son Adolf Hitler Campbell. The upshot was that both the Campbell's children were taken away from them after the father wore a Nazi uniform to the court hearing. There is a limit, no matter how parents want to honor a historical figure, a place or whatever. I heard some names in Brazil that almost made me laugh out loud in the faces of those who carried those names. Jerusalem has enough synonyms that the parents could have chosen something more appropriate, yet still remain in the spirit of what they wanted to do. Why is this news at all?

Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.23.13)
And those people we are talking about follow the rules . If they are in Belgium it means that they are NEEDED there , not "allowed" as you bark . Those two contribute MORE to this host country than 1000 sprotje can . What , and where , would be the USA without all those great Jews ?
