He lives like a gypsy, acts like a gypsy, even looks like a gypsy. There are books about gypsies and their lifestyles, some of which I read. Gypsies originated from India, some 2,000 years back. There is a connection between the origins of settling in the Middle East to migrations out of India. Also to migrations out of Afghanistan and Mesopotamia, which had people coming there from India. In conclusion: this fellow's lifestyle, personality and looks resemble people who formed many gypsy tribes.
