3. Israel squeezed in the vise
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (08.31.13)
Once again, the tiny State of Israel is unwittingly, squeezed in the vise of her neighbors' interminable, tribal feuds. Aravim: go kill each other, and a bie gezint! What do you want from Eretz Yisreal??? IDF, and Israel, may G-d protect you in the days to come.
4. To my son in the tanks...god speed kiddo..
Al   (08.31.13)
I don't know where you are. May God protect you and your guys
5. The attack is unjustified now.
David ,   Hartford USA   (08.31.13)
The nature of the deaths is sickening, but Assad has killed over 100,000 Syrians over the last 2+ years and the world did NOTHING. Maybe those 100,000 didn't count? Death is death and every one from the very first SHOULD have been reason enough to remove Assad from power. Saying that he has now 'crossed the line' makes Kerry and Obama look foolish, since it seems like they are saying murdering your citizens with conventional weapons is ok with America. If the USA wants to step in and put a stop to the fighting simply because it's the right thing to do, then say so. But if you do, Mr. Kerry, you need to explain to the Americans (and the world) why you didn't step in and help the Iranians when they pleaded for help years ago during their stolen elections. Or the Egyptians when they first rebelled against Mubarak. Or any number of other places where civilians were being killed by their own governments. Why now? Why here? And if Iran/Hezbollah makes good on their threat to attack Israel, do you promise to immediately attack Iran/Lebanon to put a stop to it? Will you state that on national TV? Israel will take losses, but Syria and Iran will lose so much infrastructure that they will be living in the 1800s- no clean water, no electricity, no easy access to food. It will be subsistence living for a generation. Have you really thought this out, Mr. Kerry and Mr. Obama? If the answer is 'yes' and you are going to attack, then stop the foolish mantra that 'we don't want regime change', when you know that is exactly what we want. And if you do attack here, know that countries all over the world are going to look for American assistance in removing dictators and despots, AND THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO SAY YES EACH AND EVERY TIME THEY CRY OUT FOR OUR HELP. If this is your legacy, that America will never sit back and watch innocent civilians murdered anywhere on the globe, then make this statement loud and clear and get on with the attack. It's about time that some leader, somewhere on this planet, had the guts and honesty to say, "We put all leaders on notice, if you harm your people, if you lead by dictate, if you abuse civil rights, America will be paying you a visit and you will be removed from authority. Count on it." Are you ready to say that to the world, President Obama? If yes, attack at will and Godspeed. If not, sit down and be quiet.
6. Big mouth... As usual...
Golani ,   Harezt   (08.31.13)
Old Arab proverb; Dogs barking, don't bitte... By attacking Israel, with out any "provocation" from Israel, will Iran give the stat of Israel the right to defense its selv by international law... Time to put back to stone age the entire Irany muppet army... Including the buz... Amen...
7. Any attach an act of war
Joe ,   Tampa, Florida USA   (08.31.13)
Bombing a sovereign foreign state is an act of war. No president has the Constitutional authority to enter the United States of America into war; that Right is exclusive to the Congress. If this president declares war on Syria by authorizing a military attack he will commit an impeachable offense -- an act for which all Americans must demand he be charged (impeached), convicted (by the senate) and imprisoned (after being criminally prosecuted by the DOJ). If the American people do not demand their representatives impeach this president should he initiate a state of war with Syria by conducting a preemptive strike without a preceding attack on our nation, we all are truly lost. We will deserve exactly what we will received, the total loss of our liberties. The entire House of Representatives is up for election in fifteen months or so. This may very well be the last chance to save the Republic. Shame on us all if we deny to our children the future we have enjoyed due to our apparent apathy, ignorance or out-and-out stupidity.
8. To: Joe at No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.31.13)
Oh, Hussein Obama has committed a great many impeachable offenses, not the least of which is the fact that he was born in Kenya and is thus ineligible to be the president of the United States of America. But I would remind you of something. Weapons of mass destruction were trucked over the border from Iraq to Syria. That's why American forces never found them. Israel told the United States that that what was happening, but the United States chose to ignore the warning. I am reasonably certain that some of those biological, neurological and chemical weapons have found their way to the United States. It is only a question of time until something is let loose in, say, the Mall of America or the New York City subway. Or Arab terrorists will choose a softer target -- perhaps Hershey Park or Disneyworld. And if that happens -- and it surely will -- the American people can blame their apathy, ignorance and stupidity. We're dealing with people who don't seem to mind dying. As long as they can take out a great many other human beings. It really is us or them. What's your choice?

10. You know what?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.31.13)
Back in 1991 and 1992, when Iraqi SCUDs were falling in Israel, Shamir made the mistake of heeding the United States and refrained from retaliating. But there is no huge, loosely-tied Arab coalition now. If Syria were to retaliate against the United States by targeting Israel, Syria will simply cease to exist. We already know that Assad doesn't care about Syrian civilians. He's murdered a great many of them. One can only hope that he realizes that while Israel feels for innocent Syrian civilians, we care considerably more for innocent Israeli civilians. Because if he is foolish enough to attack Israel, there will be a great many more innocent Syrian civilians. And the blood, of course, will be on Assad's hands. The right to self-defense does, after all -- world opinion notwithstanding -- accrue to the State of Israel, too. We'll see.

as an israeli a agree with you 100%. obama is an idiot and had he not backed himself into a corner with his stupid red lines, he would try right now to save his ego (which is flaunted beyond belief since he is an empty clueless suit) by bombing syria and thereby forcing the israelis to pay the price of his idiocy and incompetence.
12. No need for Congress to Declare War
Dave Miller ,   Cleveland Ohio   (08.31.13)
What are the 5 wars declared by Congress? Answer: The War of 1812, the Mexican-American War, the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II The Viet Nam War was always referred to as a CONFLICT because Congress never declared a war. On at least 125 occasions, the President has acted without prior express military authorization from Congress.

15. Thank Al-Sisi
Joe ,   Orlando USA   (08.31.13)
Israel should thank Gen Al-Sisi for allowing Israel to focus on their northern border, without fear of attack from the south.
16. Iran
Stuart Wragg ,   South Africa   (08.31.13)
The leadership of Iran is inspired by Satan. This can be the only reason why they would threaten to attack Israel if Syria is attacked by the USA. The Iranian government is stark raving mad to threaten Israel, the only true God protected country in the Middle East. I will be praying for all Iranian people because they will definitely need it if their leaders make this stupid and fateful mistake. The absolutee arrogance of Satan to think that he can threaten God's people.
