.presents himself as a weak leader of the free Western world. Nasty idea! Israel do not trust him regarding Syria and moreover Iran. Take your fate in your own hands and trust on God Almighty Who will fight for you. Shalom from Holland
33. A tough call..
Hfiers ,   Chandler US   (09.01.13)
..for the US to go ahead with the planned attack. This morning, Obama stated he is ready to give a presidential command, but will go to Congress for approval first. This is a wise decision in the face of the British vote. But where is the world? Countries have acknowledged disapproval of Syria's chemical attack. Where is the security council of the UN? This is another instance of unconventional war tactics being placed by the way-side. The world sits by and watches while masses of humanity suffer. We can only hope and pray that the world will collectively get their acts together and decide the best course of actions to stop the atrocities. Assad and other radical extremists and leaders must be stopped before we find the world in another world war.
34. Obama broke his word, and now..
Tal ,   US   (09.01.13)
Iran, Syria and Korea will not take US seriously anymore. it doesnt serve any of the US interest in the middle east and Asia.
35. Explain To Me How This Is a US Problem?
emanon ,   USA   (09.01.13)
Have we learned nothing from history? Viet Nam. Iraq. Iran. Afganistan. How many years, how many dollars and all we have are a bunch of coffins with dead Americans. Yeah, Asad is a bad man, but I'm not so sure his opposition is any better. Without a clear cut choice, without a clear cut strategy and without a clear danger to US citizens in America, there is no reason for American intervention. If there was, there should be US troops rooting out the terrorstinians: they are a threat to world peace and are controlled by bad people.

Why American soldiers have to die for Syrians? I bet that the only time you used gun is in the video game. Problem of the US that morons like you have a right to vote.
37. Great strategy by Obama !
dudeguy ,   Canada   (09.01.13)
You guys are way too pessimistic and need to look at what Obama said today from an optimistic stand point. He sure as hell did not look weak giving that speech today. And he, for sure, is not a stupid man. From a military stand point it's a great place to be at right now, prepared, ready, and studying new developments while positioned near by. It also puts pressure on Assad to not cross the line again. If not, as Obama mentioned at the very beginning he has the authority to give the execute command when he see's fit. He is also being a great president by listening to people voices by giving them a chance to debate. It is also jewish holiday season, so let them enjoy their holidays, and get back to work right after. With the pressure on Assad, Assad might actually end up in negotiations rather than fighting.
38. Good I say
Cameron ,   USA   (09.01.13)
May this deferential bow to Congress wind up being a rationale for finally stepping away from overt action in Syria. Let the Israelis, Turks, and Arab states get after the chaos & weapons of Syria. This was always their business to primarily address.
