1. Be careful what you wish for..

Many Christians came in the past as supporters but after a close look at the manners of the average Israeli not to mention they almost never interact with "strangers" tourists that is ,they went back in shock and disappointment with young people it could even be worse Israel first needs to get its relationship to tourists together before it brings masses of impressionable non Jewish youth here it could terribly backfire
2. great idea but

Need to build better hotels (I stayed at 2 hotels and a tzimmer in July) The kibbutz tzimmer was better than the two "Five Star" jhotels, both of which dated from the 60's/70's, and one of which had a sewage smell in the corridor. And the Tzimmer was less than half the price. Both of the Front Desks had horrible help at the desk, and.. I SPOKE HEBREW (maybe thats why!!). I found taxi drivers to be rude and dangerous drivers. I felt safest when i rented a car...In short: Israel needs to continue to upgrade its infrastructure and make hotels more affordable. In the meantime, next vacation is Eastern Europe. At prices WAY LOWER than TA or Jerusalem.
3. NOT with my tax shekel!
W. Turner ,   Israel   (09.04.13)
I want my tax shekel to go to: Israel's poor Israel's holocaust survivors Israel's development I don't want my tax shekel to go to: lining the pockets of tour operators and hotel owners. and I am not even going down the road to talking about my tax shekel going to pay for MISSIONARIES to come up to Israel and try to convert us to Christianity.
4. True

Sad but true! I came with a youthgroup, two years ago. Mostly practising christians and full of love for the jewish people. They were spit at from yeshiva students, they were harrassed at the western wall an they were treated extremely unfriendly in Jerusalem clubs and restaurants. The only friendly interactions were with some arabs... So, I think first there should be a general change in behaviour towards guests and friends. Maybe the money would be better spent in such a campaign.
5. I Would Suggest
Christy ,   Boston, US   (09.07.13)
Christians have an interest in seeing the many places we read about in the Bible. It helps the Bible come alive. There are many tours, with guides, that do this. What would be very attractive to Christian tourists would be extensive 'living history' villages to experience what it was like for the average person in Bible times. I'm thinking of something like we have in MA - 'Old Sturbridge Village'. Not 'Disneylandish' - but living history. I love the sites like this we have around the US. I'd love to visit a well-done site in Israel and I believe other Christians would also. This site could cover many Biblical Periods and show-case Israeli archaeological finds. If well-done I think it would draw many tourists.
