1. Mistaken Agenda
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (09.04.13)
If the choice is to be at a Tzadik's grave or in Eretz Yisroel for the holidays, the later takes precedence. If they want be both at a Tzadik's grave and in Eretz Yisroel, they should go to Maaras Hamachpeiloh in Chevron where our Patriarchs and Matriarchs lie. Going to Galicia for Rosh Hashanna and abandoning one's wife, children and family makes no sense.
2. Why where they subsidised in
(09.04.13)
the first place? I'm not trying to be rude but just because there's a grave of a rabbi doesn't mean people are obligated to visit it
3. Transfer the Tzadik's remains to israel
Billy Joe ,   IL   (09.04.13)
It'll be cheaper to shift him body to a grave in Tsfat or somewhere in Israel. It would easier for the Charedim to see him & it would keep the money in Israel rather than being spent overseas. I am sure the Tzadik would have liked his body being transferred to Eretz Israel. As it is, the current arrangement is just a scam for free holidays for ultra-orthodox.
4. Israel is the only holy spot for the Jews
Al   (09.04.13)
As I always suspected these trips were nothing more than patent nonsense for people with very little understanding of what Judaism is all about. The only hope I have is that people will leave these nonsensical Hassidic groups and go back to being Jews. The Breslovers, the Lubavitchers are all stuck on worshiping dead Rabbis. Seriously how dumb is that? Happy New Year.
5. well,
Eshkol Hakofer   (09.04.13)
1- many must have realized this is a project for nut cases only. 2- many others, bums that don't work can no longer afford the trip. 3- some must have switched their allegiance to the tzaddiq 'du jour' Berland in morocco. 4- whoever said that na na na na is a tzaddiq altogether.
6. #3 Eretz Yisrael isn't "kosher" enough for their rabbis'
A ,   Belgium   (09.04.13)
bones, only for great leaders like Menachem Begin and thousands of IDF heroes.
7. They are a lokust in Uman ,...
split ,   US   (09.04.13)
Umanians should dig him out and send to Israel by UPS before those freaks manage to bankrupt them ,... Good article on subject, goggle "What happens in Uman stays in Uman" and read.

i would suggest that thousands of your perfidious child abusers and child molesters catholic priests DO NOT NEED TO MAKE A PILGRIMAGE TO THE VATICAN ON A BI ANNUAL BASIS AS WELL. they belong in prison with the key thrown away.

And what makes you think the Ukrainian Government will allow that to happen?
10. The Ukies are of two minds on this
Scarborough1414 ,   Scarborough, ON, CA   (09.06.13)
The French, as they say, have a love-hate relationship with tourists. On the one hand, they love the business that tourists bring. On the other, they can't stand the crowded streets, the lineups and the incessant chatter of foreign languages. So French cynics say (quietly) that tourists should stay home and send the money they WOULD have spent on visiting over to France by mail. Ha ha. Well, the Ukrainians (Ukies) are like that when it comes to the Breslovers. The government likes the "Hebrew gold" that washes in like a warm bath, but they can't stand a bunch of boisterous Yids disrupting their quiet routine. There have been incidents where anti-Semitic Ukies (is there any other kind?) have attacked Jewish visitors over the years. Bring R. Nachman's corpse to E"Y and stop enriching the Ukrainian economy. They will never thank us.

That's all they got it's a trash to take care off and other expencess. Goggle "What happens in Uman stays in Uman" and read.
12. this is Avodah Zara!
(09.07.13)
There is a reason we don't know where Aaron and Moshe Rabbanu are buried. The reason is that according to the Rambam (Maimonides) visiting graves and worshiping at graves is Avodah Zara (strange and unacceptable worship) Best option spend the Rosh HaShana holiday at home with family and friends.
13. Rabbi David Bar-Hayim is right!
Yosef ,   Tel Aviv   (09.08.13)
One should not go to Uman! Rabbi David Bar-Hayim of Machon Shilo was recently interviewed and persuasively argued against going to Uman. We should be in Israel.
14. Let Rav Nachman ascend to Eretz HaKodesh
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (09.13.13)
It's permitted to bring a Sage for reburial in Eretz HaKodesh. If Rav Nachman were reburied in Jerusalem his Hasidim could visit every day, even the poor and the draft age men. G'mar Chasima Tova.
15. Good riddance
BM ,   Bat Yam   (09.22.13)
I hope this trend will continue, even the Talmudist "Rabbi" Moshe Ben Maimon forbade the practice of laying over the graves as idolatery, that's what happened when the Pharisees (modern day Charedim and religious Jews) crucified their own messiah (as prophesized in Isaiah 53) and killed their own rivals of the other Jewish sects and even other Pharisees (read about the House of Shamai and the "fourth philosophy).

I have to say i can't stand your comments (hey, not all of us believe in Judaism and not all of us opressed Poles in the Middle Ages) but you hit the nail on this one, the Haredim are a nuisance everywhere they go (Uman, Israel, Kiryas Yoel and Brooklyn and recently Morocco and Silistra);
