these supranational unelected bodies made up of states that have conflicting interests are totally useless in solving any serious world problems. if they cannot even agree that the use of weapons of mass destruction is a crime against humanity that cannot be tolerated, then there is no point to ever consulting them. the united states cannot and should not hand over part of her sovereignty to international bodies which include a majority of gross human rights violators. it is not really surprising that the europeans are unable to take a moral stand on the use of weapons of mass destruction. the history of europe is one of darkness and genocide.

How many votes in the UN attempting to condemn Israeli actions were vetoed by the US? Missile strikes, settlement building, land confiscation all could have been brought to a halt by the UN had the US not vetoed the condemnations. Really, there are two issues here in this article. The first one is that Russia, having assets in Syria, does not want to have to rebuild them after the US destroys them. Additionally, Russia is a dictatorship, like China, and also like Syria. Russia will always be at odds with a democracy. The EU's president, Van Rompuy, has not help things at all. It is as if life goes on as usual; only a few thousand souls wasted by the Syrian regime. The delegates of the UN bury their heads in the sand so they cannot hear the cries of the children of Syria. May God have mercy on the delegates of the UN for ignoring the plea for help by the helpless, the children, the woman , the innocent people, and the elderly of Syria.

Israel borders are enshrined in UN181. Nothing therefore outside these borders belongs to Israel. Not a grain of sand not a blade of grass. Israel repeated attempts to secure UN recognition of land it illegally annexed, has been firmly rejected, and 250Uconfirms this. The UNGA makes none-binding proposals, and UN 181 was one of them, besides rejected by all the Arabs states, so it went off the table. Anyhow UNGA 181 violates Article 80 of its own Charter. That the UN endorses all the decisions taken by the League of Nations, and to implement them, inclusive the Mandate for Palestine, a Jewish State on the territory between the Sea and the Jordan River, including the Golan Heights. This was an irrevocable decision that became International Law. Lydia, you mention UNSC Resolution 242? Well, this Resolution is conceived taking into account the League's decisions.
