Primitive and disgusting.

""We refuse to live in a country where animals die for our customs,", so move out from Israel in that case...imposing the avoidance of customs just because it does not fit the idea of lefty-scum-bag is fascism...
3. Kaparot kaporas -Focus on wellbeing of your children
Martin SA   (09.13.13)
Kaparot kaporas - Focus on wellbeing of your children. Shchitah is a humane method preparing an animal for kosher consumption. Offering a korban to attone for sins was done when were in Sinai and thereafter if not earlier. All the holier than thow people slogg kaporas and go home and get ready to fast. G'mar chasima tovah.

Watching that guy call the man crazy for schluging kapparos was sickening. Nothing the man was doing harmed the chicken. Go find a real cause, or better yet, learn some Torah.

Point taken. and thrown away. You see, as someone who lives in Israel... unlike you, I have the right to express my views and my hopes for a better life for myself, my neighbours and also the animals within the land. Kapparot is not even a Jewish practice as sacrifices of animals for the purpose of redeeming one's clean soul is mostly a remnant of pagan animistic belief. I suggest to you to stay in Berlin because the animal rights will be acknowleged and respected. The primitive religious among you will not impose their bloody practices upon the rest of the nation just because it fits their twisted, abusive and ridiculous superstitions that they call tradition.
7. Redeeming our Sins?
BrianR ,   London UK   (09.13.13)
Surely Judaism does not accept that we can somehow 'transfer' our sins to an innocent animal? I also find this custom quite disgusting. Surely at this time of year, we should be showing our compassion.

First of all, this disgusting and primitive practice also takes place in countries other than Israel. It goes on in the US in neighborhoods in both New York and California. And calling the people who oppose it "lefty scumbags" in an effort to discredit their rightful outrage over abusing animals, is idiotic.

Unlike me? no, sorry. I also express myself the way I want and no need your permission to do so. I will be whenever I want, sorry if you dont agree. People like you will cry a river if a cow is slaughted but when you see people sleeping on streets you surely pass over as if they would not exist. Have you mercy inviting homeless people to have a dinner? surely not. Primitive? Imposing? who did it? someone knocked on your door pushing you to do Kaparot? or to put tefilim? Or some other religion impositions in case you are not jewish, oc. People like you have more mercy for animals than for people, that is discusting, like fascists....Gmar Chatima Tova!

I prefer Money I also am sensitive to animal cruelty, however could you imagine those animal rights protesters if I"H the Beit Hamikdash was rebuilt. Blood would become a normal sight in the streets of Yerushalayim with ritual Korbanot. Especially Yom KIppur. Non Stop Sacrifice
11. Not a religious rite...
Chicken Licken ,   T.Aviv   (09.13.13)
but steeped in the superstitions and ignorance of the dark ages. But then that's all religion. One day of repentance and next day it's back to the money laundering, the child abuse, the repression of the women....the list goes on and on.
12. Another primitive Practice
Darren Ben John ,   Townsville Australia   (09.13.13)
Another primitive practice by medieval barbaric jews. And you dare to criticize Muslims?
13. From what I saw .........
Arnold ,   Montreal-Canada   (09.13.13)
If one takes a chicken by the legs and swings it around over ones head I find that to be somewhat funny bordering on harmful. But from I saw in the above video the man gently held the chicken above his head. I saw no harm to the chicken whatsoever, If later on the chicken is killed in order to eat it, then please complain to the late Colonel Saunders and Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation. At least the kosherized chicken was entertained before being sacrificed.
