1. What a vicious Hatchet Job on Israel byCNN
Vicous ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.20.13)
Israelis "believe" the security wall stops terrorism" the few good things he says are countered by 10 hateful ones same old CNN glad its no longer "no 1"
2. a bit leaning to one side...
Ilana   (09.20.13)
guess which. And, no mention of why Teple Mount is holy to Judaism other than Abraham???? Shameful at best. Not impressed. Didnt think I would be. Hoped to be wrong. But wasnt.
3. Excuse me. Al Aqsa is NOT mentioned in the Koran...!!!!!!!!!
Ozzi ,   Israel   (09.20.13)
Anywhere. In fact Mohammed NEVER stepped foot in Israel. And NO, the Western Wall is NOT the only remains from the Second Jewish Temple. It is part of what remains. In fact it was not part of the Temple itself. Next time you come you should spend long enough to learn something!!!
4. Food and Politics
NYC Girl   (09.21.13)
A few years ago, Todd English, a highly regarded chef and restaurateur, did a TV series where he examined the cuisines of a number of different countries. But to my utter shock, the episode in Israel was actually about its food and culture.....and not the tortured subject of Middle East politics. What a novel idea.
5. CNN thinks Jews aren't a people.....
Day   (09.21.13)
"Jewish" refers to a people, who have their own religion. This article is ridiculous. How can CNN possibly provide balanced coverage of this conflict if they don't understand basic concepts?
6. Propaganda
Portia ,   Israel   (09.21.13)
It seems to me whoever wrote this piece is catering to the non-Jewish traveller and highlighting the non-Jewish connection to our land...perhaps Bourdain himself is encouraging this, who knows; but visiting the security wall in order to experience Israel's occupation of the land is complete propaganda....what about visiting Yad VeShem where the names of 6 million of us are honored and remind us of the anti-semitism that is real and exists today?
7. No5 Jewish is from the religion of juda.
(09.21.13)
Hebrew is a people. Israel is the Hebrew state with Judaism as state religion. Israel is not a theocracy ruled by religious laws therefore cannot be called Jewish state. If Jewish was to be a people then shomronim would be the sole owners of this land.
8. #7, Jews are a people, Judaism is a religion.
Day   (09.21.13)
#7, today the term "Jewish people" is used to refer to the Jews. Jews are descendants of the Hebrews,Israelites. Of course Israel is not a theocracy. Jewish state means homeland of the Jewish people.
9. We can also do it...
God'sway   (09.22.13)
See and copy that was problem Arabs and Palestinians created for themselves to copied events from Bethlehem and East Jerusalem for their god but not going to happen for them.

Elizabeth Doig ,   United States   (09.22.13)
I think Anthony has done a wonderful job of stating the FACTS. Thank you for not being biased Anthony
11. Palestine isn't in the Bible
Mark L. Levinson ,   Herzliya, Israel   (09.23.13)
What does the guy mean by "Biblical Palestine"? There's no Palestine in the Bible. Not even in the New Testament. There's the land of the Philistines, but that's over on the southern coast-- Ashkelon, Gaza-- and has nothing to do with Jerusalem, with the West Bank, or with the Arab people.
12. Yet another CNN masterpiece
John ,   Nazareth   (09.25.13)
a political item under the guise of travel advice. CNN specialty of the day!
13. Bourdain & CNN
Shoshannah ,   JERUSALEM. ISRAEL   (09.28.13)
Of course, completely leaving out the reason for the security barrier in the first place (terrorism against Israelis) and not knowing anything about the real history of this place ("palestine" never existed during the time of Jesus and was only named in 135CE by the Roman Emperor Hadrian and was never in 2,000 years an independent, sovereign political entity). Once again, CNN has used something which was supposed to be cultural to demean and delegitimize Israel. Bourdain should stick to cooking (if he can even do that).
14. Loved the article
Natalie Smith ,   Austin, TX USA   (10.15.13)
Israel is definitely on my list of places to vist. My grandmother was Jewish so it's always been a place I'd like to see. Great article!
15. "Arab Jews"
Alan in Tel-Aviv ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (10.16.13)
Say that to an Israeli Jew and you won't get passed the soup or first course.
