5. unusual Israeli w/passport on his sleeve!
(09.21.13)
I travel with an Israeli passport and excepting at the airport and hotel check-in I've never had to show it to anyone. What's up with the DRAMATIC BS of the headline!
6. LOL they post here every day bozo!
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (09.21.13)
7. Thanks YNet
Stephen Isherwood   (09.21.13)
Israelis have no right to get us involved in their war with the Muzzies. We should be told of all Israeli owned properties and businesses in such places so we can stay away
8. BHO assassinated Ambass. Stevens in Benghazi, now his brother
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.21.13)
pulls the same radical IslamoNazi trick on unsuspecting infidels in Nairobi.
9. #7...are you serious?
David ,   Toronto, Canada   (09.21.13)
That has to be the most backward logic that I have heard in a while. It's hard to tell if you hate Israelis or Muslims more. Either way...I hope you move out of your parents'basement sooner than later.
10. Reading Y Net and IL Targets
Claude ,   London GB   (09.21.13)
Of course those terrorists and their supporters who are literate read YNet and imagine their anger and shock when they see the IL press is so free and diverse. A tragedy in Nairobi at least reminds us that IL business , products and services have a global reach , they are successful and will continue to outsmart the neholists and BDS. If you use mobile technology, medical technology or food/agri tech, you are likely to be using IL technology , often developed with other nations. If you don't want this, then go live in a cave.
11. #7's Perverse Logic
Marty ,   Toronto, Canada   (09.21.13)
Maybe rather than blaming Israel the non Muslim world should be blaming the perpetrators of the majority of terrorist acts world wide. If there was no Israel or Jews the followers of the Pedo-prophet would still be staging terrorist acts.
12. Mall cops are useless
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (09.21.13)
Just read an account on Breitbart. Masked perps enter swathed in grenades, carrying AK's and the "guards" do what: pick their noses, scratch their balls?
13. #9 deadly serious
(09.21.13)
And I am not the only one. Those of us in the know ask travel agents if Israelis frequent the hotel you are booking into. Totally logical to minimise the risk to yourself
14. Kenya
Debbie ,   Israel   (09.21.13)
Mr. Isherwood, No. 7 That is just about the dumbest most inane comment I've ever heard. Seriously, you really think that after all the Islamic terror and suicide attacks in tens of countries all over the world, that they are targeting Israelis? You think that you'll be safe if you stay away from Israelis. I hate to tell you this, but you are at risk anywhere in the world that you travel, and it has nothing to do with Israel.
15. #2 Don't be so nieve
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (09.21.13)
They use Google Earth to better aim their rockets comparing where they aimed for and where they hit from nws reports. Of course they read Israeli media when selecting their targets. Why in 2007 Israel's censor required Sky etc to point their cameras into Haifa Bay
16. to #13

i am a hotel manager in paris and i know with 100% cerainty that no one ever asked me if israelis are staying in my hotel and i have worked both in england, paris and in south africa, johanessburg, in a management capacity in various 5 start hotels. i was never ever asked this question. and even if i was asked, it is illegal for all hotel manager to disclose what nationalities their guests are. you don't sound as if you left your home much because what you claim is absolutely bull shit and completely untrue. i suggest you peddle your absurd "facts" on an islamist web site where most enjoy conspiracy theories as facts and news. goodness, sometimes i just wonder if people with your intelligence have been dropped on their head when young. i also deal with many travel agents in europe, israel and south america and schedule many hotel stays with their agencies. in the 26 years i have been in business, not a single travel agent has ever demnded to know if any nationality and in particular any israelis are staying in any of the hotels i managed. none. not to mention that not a single travel agent is allowed to disclose this kind of information because of a possible racism law suit and divulging this kind of information is against their policies of client privacy and trust. not a single travel agent will ever supply this kind of information to anyone. none. goodness, where do you actually get your facts form? you must be inventing them as you go along. maurice alaine elmande paris, 2nd endirosmant france
17. #7 Seriously who uses Travel Agents!
Claude ,   London GB   (09.22.13)
That's really quaint. Israelis travel in groups and as individuals, many have dual citizenship. Will you also avoid airport terminals , train and metro stations where people of all nations mingle? Will you avoid some of the great historic cities of Europe where exquisite sites from Judaism, Islam and Christianity are co located.? I suggest the safest and most existing option is a travel lodge somewhere in the middle of the USA. I hope The Nairobi atrocities do not deter people from visiting a continent rich in history and culture. There are many places in W, Central and East Africa with interesting jewish heritage and warm friendly people. Try it you will be amazed

Perhaps you would enjoy the movie "Mall Cop".
19. How sad! What cowards are terrorists.
Isabella1709 ,   Tampa USA   (09.22.13)
They only attack the undefended people and places. Shows what cowards they are.
20. nairobi terror
Toledano Jean-Pierre ,   Israel   (09.22.13)
The man was acting correctly. When I'm abroad I always - before I'm going out of the exit - throw away everything that can identify me as an Israeli citizen, also the very little El Al security bar code on my luggage. Since a lot of years I do and did it. Eveybody has to do it and..... try not to talk Hebrew!
21. #8, not mine

You must have been very lucky, or are being economical with the truth. By the way in these dire economic times when a sale is a sale I think you will find this particular law will be overlooked.

Stephen Isherwood   (09.22.13)
Quite a lot of people, principally because by using a travel agent you are covered by ABTA. something a lot of people found out they weren't if you book independently over the internet. I think the catalyst was that volcano going bang in Iceland a couple of years ago. For those who do not know, ABTA is an insurance company, who guarantee to get you home if your airline goes bankrupt etc. As for airport terminals Israel has been very kind by segregating themselves away from the rest of us by having separate security and check ins. I agree I hope the attack does not deter people from travelling to this area of Africa, which is the cradle of all humanity. When visiting Tunisia I did not visit the synagogue asking to be allowed to walk about town instead when on the tour of the country, a move vindicated several years later when there was a terrorist attack on the site

Stephen Isherwood   (09.22.13)
This is the second attack involving Israelis in Kenya in recent years. It is not about totally mitigating the risk it is about minimising the risk. I have not stated anywhere that avoiding Israeli owned places or areas where groups of Israelis gather totally eliminates the risk. I am stating that there are logical moves which minimise the risk. And one way of minimising the risk is avoiding Israeli owned structures and businesses and areas where groups of Israelis stay. Not interested in being used as a human shield sorry
25. #13 israelis do the same
out to lunch   (09.24.13)
so you never know if there are israelis in your hotel
